Kefka made one critical, strategy defining error... He ticked off a breakdancing moogle who bosses a beefy sasquatch around. I mean, there is brave, there is ballsy, and there's stupid. Don't poke the moogle.

What I love about dancing mad is the amount of symbolism and tension this song and fight gives off. For those who don’t know the symbolism of the song, Phase 1 represents Kefka’s lust for death and destruction Phase 2 represents his insanity Phase 3 represents his ascension to godhood and even mocks Michelangelo’s pieta and takes a piece of Tocata and fugue in d minor Phase 4 is Kefka himself and it even cuts to a sad part to represent that Kefka is going to die for everything he did

There has not been a Final Fantasy cover that has managed to surpass a Black Mages remix. This is the first for me and it's glorious.

I'm here to subscribe because Horizon's End was at PAX East 2023 this past weekend and played this song to draw people to their booth. Those guys love your stuff and were telling everyone about how talented you are.

Holy shit! I was just randomly searching “Dancing Mad” thinking I wouldn’t really find any new covers. And here I am... you’ve done justice to one of my favorite songs in the franchise and one of my favorite songs of all time. Not only have you stayed true to the arrangement, your notes are as accurate as I can remember. Not even their official live orchestrated performances are as close to the original snes arrangement. Even your drum beat is closer to the original than the black mages version and the official orchestrated versions. 👍

Holy F*CK! This is the best remix of Dancing Mad EVER!!! An i can't believe it took me *this* *long* to find it. The 2nd movement of Dancing Mad is my favorite 'cause i consider it the glue that holds the whole thing together, alot of the different versions i've heard try something weird with the 2nd movement and i forget half the time that Dancing Mad actually has lyrics. This right here though... Is full-on commitment, actually i half expected him to imitate the "Kefka Laugh" at the end as well lol. Fact: Though Nintendo Power (namely in their strategy guide for the game) suggested this being rematches with the 3 Gods/Goddesses/Statues that were done prior to the final battle, the common interpretation as to the inspiration behind the first 3 sections of the final battle are the 3 segments of Dante Alighieri's Divine Comedy: Inferno, Purgatorio (aka: Purgatory) and Paradiso (Paradise, aka; Heaven).

I actually have tears in my eyes, holy shit. If ever there was a perfect song to do in this format, this is the one. That solo in movement 4 also gave me some FFX Otherworld vibes, in the best possible way. Hitting a lot of my nostalgia buttons here ;w;

I'm pretty sure I got to this point around May of 1995. Got this game for Christmas of '94. Loved it. I remember hearing all 4 sections of this tune around that time. I remember finishing up the school year (I was in 5th grade). Freakin' amazing.

I just love how eclectic and jumbled this song is. At times beautiful and operatic, and at others a chaotic mash of sharp elements. You can really see how it fits an insane mind.

"Dancing Mad" is an appropriate name for that final movement of the track and how utterly erratic its time signature is and how much it loves to just switch between 8/8 and 7/8 and the like
