Been around dandelions my whole life and this is the first time I ever noticed that they close up after the first bloom and then “bloom” again with the seeds.
Medicinal from root to flower. I Love the roots roasted and made into tea! They are good for colds and inflammation if you'd like to make a tincture or an infused oil! What a powerful little flower!
I'm sure dandelion concoctions are very nice, but there's no good evidence they're medicinal. (I'm not saying they aren't, but "we don't know they aren't" isn't a good reason to go around saying they are.)
@@NoriMori1992 With A statement like this it's obvious you haven't done your homework. Maybe you shouldn't be making statements you know nothing about. Let me guess, for your "research" you Googled it? Lol, typical. Take care in your narrow scope of understanding.
The whole plant is edible too! The roots can be dried and made into a healthy tea, the leaves eaten in a salad, the flower buds sauteed with garlic and butter, or fried, and the yellow flowers can be fried, or made into wine, jam or a honey-like syrup!
As much as I hate seeing dandelions pop up around my yard, watching this one grow was actually quite beautiful to witness. I'd like to thank the creator for making it (I meant the video maker, but the all mighty creator of all living things, who or whatever that may be deserves some credit as well I suppose lol) & the algorithm for putting me onto a channel I never knew existed.
It’s so weird to see this planted in a pot 😂 I think they’re pretty but they grow absolutely everywhere and it’s hard to get them out of the lawn. We’re always trying to get rid of them before they make seeds. I also can’t believe how many people didn’t know it was the same flower
I love having them in my yard. Rabbits and skunks like to eat them here. The only issue was last year when a mama had her litter of skunk kits under our side deck. 😂 🙂 Luckily they're solitary animals with wide territories.
I recently planted a bit of grass in my backyard and went to the park and took a bunch of the seed balls and introduced them into the grass very lovely little plant
