I love terrier breeds. Now I am interested in this one. My Scottish Terrier has been a personality I love. I am sure that a Dandy Dinmont would thrive in my home.
Yes, I've had 2 Dandie Dinmont Terriers full breed. Love them to pieces! Just lost my last one and she had that horrible Cushings Disease. She was 14 years and nine months old to the day. She and her sister left huge holes in our hearts and households, and both were extremely smart dogs. I believe our current terrier mix has some Dandie in her.
Beautiful breed, but the dogs bred with a long body and short legs really suffer because of the pressure put on their spines. Such a shame because there are quite a few of the breeds that I could imagine being very happy with as a companion, if circumstances were different for me. Great informative video as usual of course. Cheers mate.
They're so cute but uncommon these days. I haven't seen them since the 1980s and it was only elderly people who had them. OT- Well, looks like we're getting a Danish-Swedish farmdog. All of my terrier and Bichon breeds were voted down. Hub kept changing his mind between kleiner münsterländer and Frenchie (totally alike breeds😉) so we're most likely getting a Danish-Swedish farmdog. (considered a Pinscher in Denmark) We're signed up for a puppy🤞.
@@Rocadog I'm sure than outside of Denmark and Sweden, anyone seeing a DSF dog will think it's a Parson Terrier or similar breed. I'm sure I've caught a quick glimpse of Parson or JRT across a street and just assumed that it was a DSF dog.
