*At around the 8 minute mark in the video link below, Danelectro re-founder (1994-present) Steve Ridinger discusses this pedal* , it's reintroduction, it's design upgrades, and why the 6-position switch was dialed in so well on the original design, that replacing it with a rotary potentiometer was out of the question. I preordered both the Breakdown Overdrive and the Eisenhower fuzz. I can't wait. I like how Danelectro has been so sly about which overdrive circuit this is based off of. I did a little digging and was surprised by what I found.

At first I read that the breakdown was possibly based off the way huge angry troll as it also has a 6 position gain switch and it could very well be. But to go along with Danelectro little hints....its a Univox Uni-Drive which Page used very early on in Led Zeppelin.

Great question, I'm really digging the 59X, it's got great pickups. The humbucker is articulate not chunky and the p90 is defined as well.

Thanks RJ this has been the coolest pedal I've seen in a long time for overdrive . I got a question how do you think it would be with a real deal 64 blackface fender Deluxe. And a custom shop reissue bandmaster 3x 10.I'm currently using an 808 a zendrive and an exotic BB do you think it would be a cool thing to have since there's no master volumes in the either of those amps ?
