I would say that in the kind of place and time they were from, their only other option would have been marriage. I agree that he was brutal with them in their childhood but he could only teach them what he knew best which was wrestling. He understood that there is a bigger world out there where girls can do something other than getting married early and he wanted the best for his children.
@@samiam5859 Wow, that is really nice to hear. I am so glad you are enjoying the videos 😊 I am planning to really try to make sure I release at least 1 video in the evening as well. I just need to catch up on some of the other edits first then I can start doing that again.
Fun fact :- This movie made more money in China than in India, this is a result of popularity of Ameer Khan and also, the Chinese society is very similar to how Indian society used to be in 90s, male dominated, that is why Chinese people can relate to this movie very well, especially women.
@@hsyer5314 I live in China and just because the nation was founded on communism doesn’t mean it’s still communist. China is a socialist state but the people are extremely advanced and capitalist. Infrastructure is way advanced and it hurts but India will need another 100 years to develop like current day China
@@kads8612. Agree with you. I have Chinese friends and it’s nothing like what the western media portrays China to be . The government does control the people but China in terms of infrastructure and the standard of living for their overall population is way advanced than India . Yahi sachayi hai . Accept it or continue to live in a bubble
Man I am not even from India but I love these movies and I must say your dad and you are emotional human beings. I was wondering if it was only me who cried watching these amazing movies and to see that you also feel the same way makes me believe that there are kind hearted people in this world!
These movies have been such a treat. I really feel we don't get this level often in movies (especially in Hollywood, the writing nowadays seems sloppy and quick just to make money) but these films are so well done and inspiring. 🙏🏻😊 I'm glad you enjoy them too.
In India, normally each movie begins with the National Anthem and everyone stands for it before they sit down for the movie. This movie did not play it and everyone thought what happened. They wanted the National Anthem at the end of the movie to come with a surprise and a bang, and it changed everything for this movie at the Box Office. Brilliant move by the makers to not play the National Anthem at the beginning... Still the highest grossing Indian movie at the Worldwide box office...
It's really amazing how the director was able to capture all the emotions in a way where it hyped the emotions in a cinematic way but was also able to retain the real story of the Phogaat family. I am ashamed that I never knew these legends of india before this movie but they really made us proud and the Nation too❤❤.
In actual Geeta, phogat won gold by 8-0 in final common wealth games. The Australian opponent not even able to score 1 point against her. Now her cousin sister Vinesh Phogat doing good in wrestling. And one of her younger sister Ritu phogat also play ufc/mma type wrestle.
No matter how liberal you are, if you are an athlete or any other profession, deep inside you will always want your children to be a better athlete or at least want them to do the same and excel.
You know in the final match where they locked her father and she was confused what to do at first.. I was thinking that whatever the coach says she would do the opposite bcoz that is what had been happening in all the matches 😂 her dad always gave the opposite advice.. but no, that would’ve been too filmy 😝
@@ChaatNChat I read in one of your comments that when your Dadu comes, it will be 100% hindi. Waiting for him. 🥰 Giving some recommendations to watch with him :- Badhaai Ho Sirf ek bandaa kaafi hai My name is Khan Welcome De dana dan Fukrey
that villain coach is really good Marathi actor/director/screenplaywritter, his Marathi films are masterpieces, you should watch Deool (Mandir/Temple), Valu , masala and Hindi Ugly, Scared Games Also more marathi film i would recommend Harishchandrachi Factory (on life of founder of Indian cinema must must must watch), Elizabeth Ekadashi, Killa, Natrang, Mulashi Pattern, Court, Mee Vasantrao, Balgandharva, Shwas(Breath), katyar kaljaat Ghusali, Foundry, naal, Shala, Saat chya Aat gharat, Jogwa, Zenda, Aga Bai Areccha Veer Sawarkar of Randeep Hooda must must must watch
Harishchandrachi Factory (on life of founder of Indian cinema must must must watch) and Harishchandrachi Factory (on life of founder of Indian cinema must must must watch) are sure ones then Deool and other films so hard to chose which one to watch next all are classics in their own way
In the begging it seems Mr. Phogat is really pushing his dreams upon to his girls but once you put yourself in the situation. You can fathom the larger picture what Mr. Phogat was envisioning. The best life which he could provide to his daughter in that patriarchal society and what not. The discipline , the punishment is all what sculpted them into what they become later in life. Their success also catapulted others to give a chance to their daughters to pursue their dreams. It became a guiding lamp for the younger ones in that area particularly.
Wonderful movie .... Even though I have watched almost all movie whichever u have uploaded in past as well.... But I enjoy watching with u again .... 💙🖤💙🖤
As Indians we didn't feel frustrated when dad pushed them to play wrestling, the dad could see their talents and knew that they could do good in wrestling, dad is more experienced than the girls, so he know more about life than the girls. from the children point of views yes, it is frustrating but from the parents point of view he is doing for their good. even when we go to schools parents push us to study harder so that a we can live a better life, at that age children wouldn't know what is good for them and bad for them so obvious they will hate their dad but when we get old we will realize that dad scolding was for our own good.
As always, too good to watch with this great company❣ I just watched 'Lapata Ladies' (translation: Missing Ladies) yesterday and it was a sweet watch. Would highly recommend you both to watch that sometime soon💫💫
Yeah, it has been on my list since it was released. I think we might be able to get to it this week. (Editing takes a bit of time and we already have 3 other films being edited right now, and we watched all of season 1 of Panchayat that will release soon.)
This movie is not based on True Story. This movie is inspired by True Story. In a based story, the director copies the real events and pastes them into the movie as it is, without tweaking the real story. In Inspired stories, the director can tweak it to make entire story thrilled or the way they want.
This is what most the Indian parents do for their child. Sacrifices. Here in Amarica, parents kick their childern out and those kids generally fall into massive debt/creditcard traps
Hallo guys. I love u both❤. Here is an recomendation. KESARI. Akshaya kumar is lead actor. It is some kind of underrated but it has many heart touching moments and some of the best bollywood's brutal action sequences.
Well, there was no other option. I could call him mean, if he would’ve only wanted them to do wrestling in their lives. But he asked his wife just for 1 year. And for our father, one year is nothing to compromise when he gives his whole life to us.
I lived in India for many years and an Indian family adopted me in a way. We have some nice QnA videos up on the channel that have some interesting stories of our background if you have time you should check them out.
You have to react to Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, it is the best movie on athlete Late milkha singh who faced so much struggle in his life and still came to be one of the best runners in the whole world. You will love it.
We watched it a few days back and it's currently being edited. Hopefully we can have it ready soon. There are a couple movies ahead of it in line but I promise it is coming.

Icky fact. Aamir divorced his second wife to get on with the woman playing his older daughter in this film. She was also given the lead over Saniya Malhotra (playing younger daughter) despite Saniya being more talented.
Now 5 girl from Haryana got Olympic quota and one of them is phogat sister which is 2 time world medalist and 3 time olympian, hope this time she get Olympic medal in paris🎉🎉
Anyone able to enlighten why the coach isn't a fan of Geeta getting gold? Like he's okay with even bronze. Is it a match fixing thing, some sort of corruption going on?
The ending part most of it has been dramatized for the movie the coach part, the final fight was not so dramatic as well it was a good win and the locking of the father in final fight...
As a former athlete and one frm a family with many who participated in national games, honestly it’s not about match fixing. Most of the times it used to be that indian coaches had very low expectations if one would even make out of the qualifiers, bronze toh tab bhi badi achievement thi.
