Spoilers for "Danganronpa 2 Goodbye Despair" These are all the deaths in Danganronpa 2 (these game footages don't belong to me...) ((also, Danganronpa doesn't belong to me. It belongs to Spike Chunsoft)) and again, i own nothing
I haven't watched this game but how he died ....he had the best luck of em all ..I mean he had the best power of em all but how he died? Please explain
Gundam's death was the saddest for me in this game. His last actions while alive were to protect his hamsters, both by putting them somewhere else and the spell to protect them. Then he got brought to heaven by his past animals. Just so pure.
Actually, that’s where you are wrong. Gundham believes that he has evil powers and he is a bad person, because he was bullied when he was younger and though that he was an outcast. But, he was wrong (animals with wings take him to heaven) because he’s really a good guy.
@@vbutterflyx He challenged and fought Nekomaru to the death to keep the others from dying from starvation. He cared deeply for animals, raising several endangered species back from extinction. He was a good person deep down, even if he thought he was a bad person.
Fun Fact: Nagito's death was full of game 1 references. The spear for Mukuro, the poison for Sakura, the ropes for Chihiro, the knife for Sayaka, the fire that took place in the room for Celeste, and the combination of all these themselves for Junko.
Well i guess that execution ties in her fear of oversized objects, her history of being sexual abused and the pain of maybe having a heart attack, burning up in the atmosphere and having a lack of oxygen. It just portrays it in a way that is underwhelming in my opinion
Ngl those fifth and sixth trials were what made Nagito a random psychopath to one of the most incredible character for me, his extremely brutal death, the amazing music, the whole chaos he created that lead everyone to discover the truth, everything was spot on. Not the best game of the three main games, but those two last trials are easily my all time fav from the entire serie
I think the first game Executions are a some of the least brutal, mostly because it *was* the first game. But still, for somebody to see their favorite characters die is pretty traumatizing
The “reach for the stars” plays when a character didn’t have the intent to kill- Teruteru was trying to protect everyone from Nagito Mikan was influenced by the despair disease Chiaki didn’t mean to kill
Chiaki's, while sad, was definitely one of the best, most fitting, most interesting executions in the series so far. I'm glad my favorite DR 2 character got the best execution
He knew that he would try to save peko but he didnt attend him to nearly die he just knew cus thats how peko wouldve died in her punishment by being distracted by fuyuhikos injury so monokuma planned it all the time except the part where he almost died
A friend of mine came up with this interesting theory that because the killing school trip was set up by the remnants of despair themselves, they had a hand in how the game played out. An interesting part of the theory involved making each victim feel despair in some way leading up to their death. Byakuya (Imposter) - Dying first and thus failing to prevent the killing game and protecting everyone else. Teruteru - Dying without knowing the fate of his mother. Mahiru - Getting payback for the incident that inspired "Twilight Syndrome Murder Case". Peko - Dying while thinking she had killed her young master. Hiyoko - Dying at the hands of Mikan. Ibuki - Being manipulated and killed by one of her best friends. Mikan - Her execution involving her fear of large objects, and being oversexualized. Nekomaru - Being reborn in a new and nearly invincible body where he no longer has to worry about his failing health, only to die anyways. Gundham - Going to heaven instead of hell like he wanted. Nagito - Dying without knowing the traitor's identity and failing to stop despair. Chiaki - Nothing overly obvious, but as evident by her execution, SOMETHING uncomforting was going on in her head that caused her to run away in fear.
a bit late but i did want to add for one and i dont mean to take away from your theory but i do think all or most character deaths in the series are meant to be ironic in some form to spread despair in that person either in the events that lead up to it or the actual way they die also to add to hiyoko i think a "better?" way to look at it was she died after breaking out of her trust no one shell only to go right back because of the disease, further more she left her room trying to prove to herself and mahiru that she has grown and could tie her kimono by herself but got killed as a result, and at least to her id imagine failing to impress mahiru
@@TheSlayer6564 I’m actually a lot less confident in this theory than I was when I originally wrote it. I now fully believe the DR series just has awful writers and all the “symbolism” is just stuff that fans interpret.
When you watch your favourite character die, or you watch your favourite character get executed , you cry alot. But it's all apart of the danganronpa plot. Danganropa wants to kill all your idol waifus bc they didn't really care about the character 😭🤚
Gundham’s execution really hit me. My guinea pig ran away while my mom was cleaning his cage. I don’t know why she didn’t go looking for him and there’s eagles where I live. Just like the littlest animals start making me miss him and have a breakdown. He trusted me so much he would always be so happy to see me. He’s gone. My mom got two New Guinea pigs but it doesn’t feel the same. That had nothing to do with his death. I just hope that he found some people to take care of him. We’re putting up flyers tomorrow in hopes that we find him.
Chiaki's execution was the first one to really capture the feeling of "hopelessness within acceptance" for me; they almost did it with Celeste's, but then the fire truck happened
Fun Fact: In Gundham’s execution, the spell he made was actually not to protect his hamsters. Gundham believes that he has evil powers and he is a bad person, because he was bullied when he was younger and though that he was an outcast. But, he was wrong (animals with wings take him to heaven) because he’s really a good guy
Everything you said it's true, but I think that his execution was more intended to make fun of him... he really though he was going to hell, but instead monokuma sent him to heaven (if you finished the game, you know why monokuma can do literally whatever he wants)
I mean, no, the spell he cast was a defensive one? You can tell by the markings. The irony of the execution is despite his statement that's he's a bad person and that he's immortal, he continues to put the lives of his animals above his own. His belief that he's a bad person is most likely a result of his childhood trauma, but most likely to keep people away from him to avoid harming him.
I feel like all the first trial executions were the most sad. They all had reasons for doing what they did. Leon was in self defense, TeruTeru was trying to kill nagito because he found out he was going to kill someone, and Kaede thought Rantaro was the mastermind but didn’t have enough time to look for more evidence because if someone didn’t kill anyone they’d all die.
I mean Gundham also has his single mother (if she is still alive I mean none of the characters parents statuses are confirmed, Also I'm Still Salty that out of all of the relatives that Yuta is the only one who is confirmed dead) Also I Just remembered but Takas Dad, and Yasuhiros Mom are Alive, Same as Kyokos Grandpa Also Anybody Realise that In THH Makotos dad kinda looks like the Headmaster and his Mom kinda looks like Hina, I got that after I watched Bijuumike play the game
@@highfivepaw I feel like for Mikan, it’s actually be because she was under the influence of the despair disease, so she wasn’t herself. If she had never gotten that disease, she probably wouldn’t have ever killed Ibuki or Hiyoko.
Mikan did too because she actually was brain washed(if you watched danganronpa 3 despair arc) And if you dont believe that she didnt mean to kill them i have a proof:the exectuions that have the song "reach for the stars" like mikans ore teruterus means that the blackened didnt mean to kill them so she deserved better.
gray nevermind nagito is going to hell for that setup what I said earlier is trash I hope nagito goes to hell like how do people still like him it’s stupid and dumb I will never like nagito the last murderer is like the first it was an accident nagito is the devil and if anyone says he is like mokoto I think that is how you spell but if you say that your wrong
1:01 Something i noticed about the first execution in all the games is that the character being executed always gets dragged by the monoclaw thingy while it shows the other characters' spectating
Peko's execution is the best in the entire series. It's the fifth time that I saw it, and it still makes me shiver. Mikan's instead is the worst. It's totally and objectively anonymous.
I feel like her execution should've been MAYBE: She was in a fake hospital and monocubs (robots) were patients and she had to help them all but she couldn't- they all got sick and turned into zombie type things and chased her around the hospital. She runs out the fire exit but the staircase ends and she gets trampled by all of them robots and dies from the pressure. (sounds stupid ik but its better then her current one)
For those who don't know. Mikan's death makes sense because at that point she gain her original true personality. A glutton for despair and pain. So the least pain meant the less joy for her.
Gudham was my favourite character at that point and seeing him smile at the devas of destruction and seeing them come over to him and their faces ahhhhhh why danganronpa I love you but I rly hate you sometimes
That was during the time he was an Ultimate Despair - which was before the Neo World Program. But Izuru did bring back the dead students in the program in DR3 so yeah, he's technically alive
Sherry Liu Not arguing but from what I heard when the spear hit him due to his incredible luck he only fell in a coma but I am not saying you are wrong
That was his "digital" self that died you could say, pieced from his memories before the Tragedy. All of Chisa's students were technically put in a coma during the time they were Ultimate Despairs and their memories were extracted and put into the Neo Program. The ones who died in the program had their data deleted by the Junko virus, including Nagito's, but Izuru found a way to restore it somehow after he beat Junko's AI and exited the program, hence bringing the forementioned students back to their "original non-despair" states. So Nagito's actual body wasn't touched - it was simply a programmed dream from his memories. I hope that made some sense XD
They aren't dead at all, Just Brain dead; as it states at the end of Danganronpa 2 *spoilers* They are in something called the Neo-world Programme, created by the Future Foundation. They are the remnants of despair and it states in the game that they are "avatars" of their former selves back to before they became the remnants of despair, so essentially they had their memories wiped and were plugged into the programme and as they say near the end of Danganronpa 2; if a person's avatar is deleted before they are uploaded back into the mind of their owner, that person will not wake up ever again" or words to that effect
The discovery of Ibuki's body is creepy. The fact that the camera first shows the rope and the bag she's carrying, the the fact that she's dressed in a hospital ouftit and finally that she's hanging in a concert hall where ironically she did her concert
Surprisingly enough, I found gundham death more beautiful then sad- don't get me wrong I love gundham but the way he smiled when he died and did the spell for his 4 dark divas of destruction was absolutely amazing and in my opinion didn't bring much despair 😌
Spoilers for anyone who never watched the game or saw the anime: Except none of these deaths mattered (Chiaki's aside) because they managed to come out alive and kicking with the exception of some deformities or alterations. I mean, the only way their deaths even had any meaning is if Junko got her way and managed to inhabit their bodies in an alternate ending. I honestly feel worse for Naegi because the deaths counted. They were essentially playing for keeps.
... And ? They should have been with him ? By the way... Now that I think about it, what happens to them after the execution ? Were they part of Gundham avatars ?
The fact Peko is moving without her will on her execution seems to be a hint everything is unreal. I think the privileges of an Overlooker can let them control the avatar of the players, thus explaining this whichcraft.
FC Nightmare lol me too Gundam and Mr. Craze Luck Guy (Nagito Komaeda) were my favorite characters in the game. I love Gundam for being occult-ish and a tamer, and Mr. CLG for being a crazy character. Wtf why did they died
*has never played danganronpa 1 and 2* Watches gundam (idk how to spell it) 's excecution *gundham is being lifted to heaven* *me* : (remembers korekiyo's excecution (similar to being lifted to heaven) ) I WAS LIKE NONONONO *Gundham wents to heaven* me : good
I cry every time I see gundham’s execution he was my second favourite as ibuki mioda was my first fav but his hamsters!!! IF MONOKUMA KILLED THEM I WOULD DIE
