Danger at the Den! | WolfQuest AE: Wayfinders #23 

Hello Jay! So, the few hours I've been playing around in WolfQuest Slough Creek. My mate has been rushing into many more hunts ever since we had pups, and even got smacked really hard by a grizzly to defend her young ones. I only love her, she's always interacting with the pups and keeping them well fed. We had 6 puppies, two of which are males. One of my females, unfortunately, fell ill. She's the only white/gray baby, and she's super calm. I've been hanging out with her so much, but she keeps getting worst. :( If it does happen, Its the circle of life... My den's more in the open, so I've had a few eagles. Many Eagles and Stranger wolves, since I failed to mark my territory. I also have a runt, one of my males. My other male, however, is the biggest in the litter, along with one of his sisters. They've been showing a lot of Loner behavior, but that's alright. My mate sits above the den, and comes down to play with them or feed them. I feared at first that she'd rarely interact, since she was showing some Cautious behavior. I accepted her as my mate, because even cautious she was pretty helpful. I don't regret it. :) Happy New years, Jay. God Bless you. (Name Suggestion: Tokeni.) Edit: For those wondering, my pup did recover. However, not long after that another got sick. Its a longggggg story about what happened after that, but I have time... I was leaving my den due to a Flea infestation, and the closest den wasn't very far, but it was pretty stressful. My mate did a good job at rallying the pups and keeping them close, so glad they can run. We went around the lake, I didn't want to risk it or slow us down. (We were right next to the end of the lake so I said why not.) Right there was a huge rock, which was blocking my view of anything that'd be on the side. When me and my pups had reached there, a group of bison blocked our way. I didn't think much of it, and was more focused on getting to the den before anything major attacks. (Bear, cougar, Eagle) I called my pups to hide in a bush, as a couple coyotes wished to try their odds. The bison began to close in on my pups, trying to attack them. When I had realize what they were doing, I tried to lure them away. My mate tried as well, but she kept leading them closer. (Most likely because we were trying to lead them away, except in two different directions.) Then, my first pup was killed. He was the biggest and healthiest in the litter, and I was disappointed to see him die first. Now I only had 5, and the next to die was tragic. It was Faith, the one who had recovered from illness. (I had given her to name Faith because she survived.) They were dropping like flies, and I had nearly given up hope. I tried distancing myself from the pups and bison and tried sleeping, but it wouldn't let me because "Dangerous competitors were nearby." (Something like that.) Instead, I tried waiting for them to move on, since me and my mate were no longer there. They didn't. They camped the bush were the remaining 2, were hiding. I think about this point my mate has had enough, so she started circling and threatening them. In time, she got them far enough were I could call them out and get them away. I then hid them in a bush to sleep, since my wolf had no stamina and was exhausted. In the morning, we continued. We each carried a pup, and in no time we had reached the den. My pups would've been toast without my mate, she's a HERO. After that, we did some hunted and found a lonely cow and killed her calf. ( Of course, On my way home I lost it to the Current. I luckily killed a mule deer before that so didn't really need it. xD) Congrats if you got this far, Happy New year!

Jay you should probably make sure your pups aren’t inside the den for too long! There is a flea infestation that will be going on inside the den, if it’s above 50% or if it’s at 100% then you’ll have to move dens. Make sure you keep an eye on it! (Also careful if a den is near a river there’s a big chance that den will flood)

I've been playing on easy and so far only one of 5 pups has died. Two have gotten sick but recovered! The den got flooded though so we had to move to a new den, I like it much better! Lots of prey near by and lots of elk calf's. ^^ My pup Fang loves to wander off and make trouble! And the trip to the rendavous and New den was awesome! The pups ran beside me while me and my mate carried the smallest and weakest ones that fell behind. we are currently at the rendavous, just need to get them to 20 pounds. This is very stressful tho 😂 I'm such a noob again

In my play through i have noticed that the crevice lake and the junction butte packs are more aggressive about taking your terf. Also i was at that den and mine flooded and I had to move so be mindful of storms.

Here’s some name suggestions for the pups! The golden (Wayfinders 3F) one could be Goldenrod Of Foggy Forest (Goldenrod) I chose this because of her coat, and due to her playing in the flowers a lot. Wayfinders 3M could be Bat Of Night Sky (Bat) I chose this because of his coat, and since he’s the runt (and smaller) and bats are also small, I chose this. Wayfinders 4F could be Ember Of Dying Flame (Ember) I chose this because embers fly away from the fire, which seems like curious creatures flying from home to me, and I found 4F doing that, so this is why I chose this. Wayfinders 5F could be Pine Of Snowy Wood (Pine) the fur coat reminded me of pines and she tended to go near the trees. Wayfinders 4M could be Pebble Of Clear Stream (Pebble) streams that are clear remind me of calm, soothing things, and I found 4M being calm and not stubborn, that is why I came up with this. That’s all I could come up with! I also love your videos, I’ve been a fan for a while now, your videos are amazing and so entertaining!

I love the Wayfinders videos! I enjoy watching them, since I just bought WolfQuest AE yesterday and have been playing nonstop! Surprisingly, I've already finished the Slough Creek episode. ;-; So now I have to wait for the next one, which I believe is Tower Fall.

Random advice: If stranger wolves attack you in this new update, the only thing you can really do since they’re so tough is to get the pups hidden ASAP (The only pup I’ve lost so far was to strangers that’s why I’m paranoid now lol)

So i have 6 wolf pups and im on easy- My mate's name is heartattack and like, he is always at the den with the pups- Constantly guarding the den, and he sits behind the rocky den, And just watches for predators. And anytime im gone i always hear him howling, meaning like he chased a stranger or a coyote away. I think he is a good mate

Hi Jay! I know one little thing. With it you can reduce time that you waste on claiming. You don’t have to remark on the scent, you can create a new post anywhere and hex strength will jump up without any howls))) I think it can be very helpful for hardcore.

So I'm just going to say this, I played and just named my pups at the beginning and they lived up to there names. For example: I named a pup lucky and the poor thing wandered off and I couldn't find him lucky my mate found em so yeah. 🤗 LOVE THE GAME SO FAR AND YOUR CONTENT❤️

I had a bear attack my den! A few coyotes and three stranger wolves! Luckily my pups are still alive cause I’m an amazing parent ;D but I’m already at the rendezvous site and the puppies get taller and their ears get bigger during that journey! They are very cute, I’m gonna try and get them to 20 pounds tomorrow.. Oh and I killed four cow elks cause a really weak one kept attacking me after I killed the first one, then the exact same for the other hunt, then I also killed a weak bull elk so that’s fun

I think a cool name for 2F would once again, be Scruffy! she's kinda the Female runt, same as my cat, scruffy. She passed away a few weeks ago and it would be cool to have a cute 'lil pup named after her:) I also think a cool name for 3M is Crow after his mom, Raven!

I had 7 pups in Wolf Quest AE and one died, she name was Ferice (I think it was a female but I might be wrong). So, in honour of Ferice, I suggest the name Ferice for a pup

you should name one of the females Zahli!! my beautiful dog Zahli had to be put to sleep on New Years eve yesterday after battling cancer. its pronounced "zaa-lee" she was an adorable white Labrador cross golden retriever I miss her so much.

There are elk calves but there newborn,they usually lay in the tall stands of grass and the mothers are watching,also the mothers are alone so it's easy to tell if there a calf you just have to find it!I don't know if u knew so I wanted to make sure!

I'm still on the territory marking mission,it's annoying because the stranger wolves (mainly crevice lake)took over pretty much all of my territory,and so I lost so much progress XD,Hopefully next time I play I'll be able to have pups though!

Tip: Go into the Pack Info and Den often. It can help you a lot. With Pack Info, you can know if Fleas are getting really high, and you can also see if your den is flooding. (Which might be the reason why ur pups aren’t going the den) :) 🐺

Hi Jay :) I have been playing ever since Slough Creek came out and I have finished it with my pups. When you get to the Zones I think? When they get out of the den for good, there are little surprises in the tall grass ;3 When you get to that point you will know what I mean!

There was a quick update today, and the decay rates have been adjusted so it should be much smoother for everyone keeping their territory. Also, there are elk claves still! They are newborn, though, and hide in the grass. If you see a lone cow elk standing off from a herd, hunt through the grass. There's a baby hiding nearby.

I think Lusa might be a good pup name actually, and maybe name the runt, Runt or Tiny. And for a brown female Petal?

Did you know that you can go in the den with your pups to sleep with them and watch them sleep? All you need to do is stand in front of the den and press space and your wolf will walk in ready to snoos. LOL if you didn't know that already that is.
