The helmets of the Imperial space crews in Star Wars were modeled off the helmets used by US Navy sailors in WWII. If you watch a few old films you'll see them wearing these oversized helmets that are big enough for the wear a headset underneath to talk on a radio or intercom.

As Rexford said, it has to be so weird looking to accommodate a set of sound-powered phones. You'll notice that the others don't wear that type of helmet if they're not given the task of communication with the pilot house.

I was in the British Merchant Navy for many years mainly on tankers, to let go an anchor on a 250,000 tonne tanker took 3 people. Why are there so many people stood around watching? Things can go wrong so why increase the risk?

0:23 all staff must clear the room for safety when the anchor drops. that's 4 members exposed to one fatal incident. the safety glasses, the slip resistant boots and the safety helmet will not prevent anything against a lose anchor flying across the room. same goes for the columns supporting the sealing against the floor.

What are you talking bout 😂🤣 you can’t drop the anchor without people in the room. it’s a controlled anchorage so you need people in the room to have control of the anchor & chain. now if the anchors gets out of control & starts running & we can’t stop it than we clear the room immediately as fast a possible. get your facts right
