Rest in Power Dangerous Dame! If you are a fan of Bay Area hip hop/rap you will know Dangerous Dame. Dame was a major player in that late 80’s early 90’s and was associated with Too Short and the the Dangerous Crew. He was known for his big bass “Oakland Funk” sound. In 1990 Dangerous Dame was signed to Atlantic Records and released “I Got What You Want.” He followed up in 1992 with “Same Ole Dame” produced by Ant Banks, an instant Bay Area Classic.
Many Bay Area rap fans will remember Dame from complications, releasing solo tracks including a feature on Master P’s “West Coast Bad Boyz” and “Loc N Loaded.” Dangerous Dame is a true West Coast Bad Boy.
