I did a fight at sim at Emirates and everything was SO easy compared to landing Edit: OMG thanks for 30 likes it’s the most I’ve ever got lmao 😂 Edit: sksksk 100 likes?!?!?! I feel famous HAHAHAHA
I've been a passenger on a cross wind landing. It felt like the plane was going to turn sideways when the first wheel grabbed the tarmac. People were claping when the plane finally settled down and it was clear we were safe. When we got to the gate the pilot came out of the cockpit, no pit stains, face not flushed nor pale, voice totally calm as he wished us good night. You could tell he had trained that landing 100s of times.
I remember once landing in Japan and the pilot made the announcement that a typhoon had just passed and so the landing would be a little rough. I was like, "oh man, if the pilot said it's going to be rough it's going to he bad." It was. Someone vomitted. I thanked God for the pilot cause he got us down safely.
I never never NEVER complain about how "bad" the pilot is. As long as im land safely, they're my heroes. I have nothing but respect for pilots who truly do their job sincerely.
@United States Of America It's already hard for the pilots as is you don't need to jump to the conclusion that it's the pilot's fault at hand. What if it has something to do with strong wind occurring in these locations? What if the aircraft is having some sort of technical malfunction? It's not like a pilot would "accidentally" yank the controls pivoting the entire plane to the sides uncontrollably. I doubt that it would be a trained pilot's fault for an error such as those displayed in this video so don't go around assuming it's their fault because you don't know for sure.
I can only imagine the pressure and stress that pilots are experiencing in situations like these. Not only is their life in their hands but all the passengers and crew’s as well. Then add the pressure from the airline not to damage the airplane. I have nothing but respect for pilots.
In 2:32 the plane is LOT Polish Airlines Flight 16 was a Boeing 767 passenger jet on a scheduled service from Newark, United States, to Warsaw, Poland, that on 1 November 2011 made a successful gear-up emergency landing at Warsaw Chopin Airport, after its landing gear failed to extend. All 231 aboard survived without serious injuries.
The story behind the landind of the first plane is incredible The front wheels were not in the right position. Instead of being vertical they where totally at 90° wich is a big big problem when you have to land But the pilot of this plane was such a boss and he managed to land the plane without causing a big accident or hurting any passenger
He actually first circled around the airport for I belive like 3 hours or so, so that they can run out of fuel and lessen the chance of the plane catching on fire and exploding
I am a cabin crew and I wish all passengers realise and appreciate the fact that CRew and Pilots are mostly on board to take them from point A to B in the safest way possible, and we would sacrifice our own lives to save theirs first. It frustrates me when they only think we are on board to serve them drinks and food in the same second they ask for it, or when they criticise the pilots landings. Big respect to everyone that works in this industry🙏🏽
I am a horrible flyer. The second we leave the ground I think we are all going to die. I pray to whomever the whole time that we make it. Seems the flight attendants know. They see me and know i am scared and ask if I'm okay. 😒
The pilots who landed these planes in such difficult conditions are true heroes. They show great skill and care for the people who occupy these planes.
@aq Br yep. His life over the rest easily. But if his mother was in the plain one would argue that at least 1 pilot out of 10 would prioritize the mothers life over themselves, that is to say that in the moment the plane is going to cause doom, he was thinking of his mother being on the plane rather than his own life. Which can thus translate to a more smaller percentage, but still a possible one. There is a possibility that some of these pilots, in demonstrating their profound care for meticulous coordination, were empathizing with the fact that theirs babies crying because of the scenario theyre all in that only he has control of. Yea, for the sake of hyping up mine own emotions, im going to pretend these pilots were that small percentage, that didnt crash because they realized they themseves and the entirety of the people in that plain had crucial meaning.
@aq Br Showing care means taking your responsibilities seriously. Sure, the pilot is on board as well. But that fact hasn't stopped pilots from being careless like the crew of Air Florida that crashed into the Potomac in 1982. They were lackadaisical in their pre-flight check and following procedures. They neglected to turn on their de-icer and used reverse thrust when DC had a blizzard. Care means responsibility and that includes being ready for adverse conditions.
@@jlh4jc Thank you for pointing out all those pilot short comings from your perch in the stratosphere. we make better use of the 2 person crew resources since some things you mentioned, so give it a rest, With regards to landing in rough windy conditions some of these may be co pilot landings which are afforded to them for training it limits are not exceeded. calm conditions and wind right down the runway don't often happen, sometimes you have to "BUFF THE WOOD"
@@RU-vid.TOM.A Are you sure you are responding to the right person? My original comment was very complimentary of the pilots and the other was in response to a comment that has sense been deleted that might have brought more context. What shortcomings did I point out "from my perch in the stratosphere"? I'd be glad to clarify because I don't think I was being an armchair quarterback with the pilots.
Seriously, the skill needed to land the plane in such harsh conditions is crazy. Nothing but respect to all pilots around the world. You guys truly save lives everyday.
*The second one was truly frightening. The most unstabilized approach I have ever seen followed by slamming it into the runway followed by hooting and hollering because they survived. Real professional crew!*
PokemonAssociate uhhh I do the codes get my head hurting and all the buttons omg Idk half of them I only know uhh the landing gear thing and the foot paddle thing and the other thing that controls the rudder which is on the tail or fin of the plane lol
Pilots are just amazing! Really! I cant understand how they can be so professional and handle such a big and heavy things like an airplane! Respect! 👌🏽😎
Yup it seems the towers messed up the landing take off rotations but the pilot managed to avoid a disaster. I’ve been through that once, we were on a plane ready to take off, plane has already started the sprinting before taking off. Then we heard a loud screech as the plane instantly turned right and fled, that’s when we felt a strong wind pushing our plane and it tilted a bit. I was sitting on the left window and was SHOCKED to see a 4 engine gigantic plane swiped past above us. It’s pilot pulled the plane up a little bit which saved our lives because if he didn’t, the wing would crash through our plane and both would be destroyed. Later we met with the passengers from the other plane and enjoyed a fancy meal together provided by the airport. As for my flight? It was delayed by 1 day because our plane’s wheels were damaged from the tight break and turn, free fancy hotel provided by the airport though.
this why pilots need more respect then what they get. They have hundreds of lives in their hands and in a short few minutes they could crash or something. I salute them
Gavriel Musheyev I’ve been on planes before 9/11 and the passengers always applauded. People are happy and thankful for a safe landing and the great skills of pilots.

@Musprogamer Somehow this is true, its like you are attracting the bad aura when you keep thinking about it, eventually happen to be like what u think.. hahaha Hopefully this person is still alive to reply the comments at least..
If they have job of carrying more than 100 people they should be really pro at it and it is higher than my expectation!! I am so alive well because of these safe driving! Thank you very much for these safe landings, pilots!
@@swetadubey2270 In 2014 i came from Sahara Airport to Bangalore by Air Asia not so gud experience but ticket price was Quite reasonable abt 400 Dhirams
When I flew to Rome from a small island off the coast of Italy called Sardegna, we were facing 30 knot winds perpendicular to the runway. Everybody was worrying about the turbulence and how it felt like we were going down, and I was nonchalantly watching a movie. Someone asked how I stayed so calm, I said “The pilot goes through hundreds of hours of training in situations much worse than this, a little bit of wind won’t hurt us.” My backup plan to being an athlete is to be a commercial pilot
That A380 sliding around like it’s in the next Fast and Furious is impressive as hell! Nothing but respect for the pilots getting that beast touched down safely.

I’m never gonna be scared of planes If it crashes u die and can’t do anything about it and also car crashes are way more common than plane crashes people shouldn’t be scared
You don't just fly a plane, you become a part of it when you start visualising and maneuvering it, your senses starting understanding how the frame would react to air flow anomalies. Only real pilots have such qualities.
Passenger on planes : The Pilots were really terrible at touching down Me in my head: I wanna see you being a pilot Respect for all the pilots out there who put day and night together to get passengers across the seas safely. ✈️
You have to wonder: with those crosswind landings, how many times did the pilots try to land in conditions that one would consider unsafe for touchdown, or in excess of allowable limits for the plane and/or airline? Whatever the case, though, no matter: they all got their planes down with incredible skill, which is what they get paid for. Great job by all of them. Give them all medals-!
Scoot poyo Soldier’s jobs aren’t to die, engineer’s jobs aren’t to make a building fall, doctor’s jobs aren’t to have one who can’t be saved die and so on.
People sometimes complain because they do not know, what the struggles and decisions that those pilots have to make before landing, easy to complain, while this brave men are doing the out most, and sometimes, almost impossible acrobatics maneuvers, to save the plain and our lives. I have a great respect for this persons, for the tremendous responsibilities that have in their hands, and intelligence. I am very proud of all my country pilots, they are ones of the best in the world. When I travel with TAP, I just feel completely safe! God bless all the world pilots, of all countries.
It’s honestly not that hard as long as it’s not windy. Without wind you just land it how you normally would, except you have to be slower on the approach and set it down as lightly as you can.
The pilot of emirates airlines plane is an angel.. That is the biggest and heavy passenger plane of the world and its impossible to control it in such situations like how he did. Salute to you sir...
That was the crappiest landing in the bunch. Pilot landed unstable still in a crab, then nearly lost control. He didn’t earn any respect, needs to go back for a lot more training. Lucky they didn’t lose that aircraft.
i was on a flight from australia to new york i believe and that ride was so unbelievably smooth i had no idea we were landing Literally No turbulence at all and amazing pilot landed and half of us had no idea
Always thank the pilots because through the whole ride, your life depends on them, and the pilots try their hardest everyday to ensure that everyone has a safe flight. Pilots have one of the hardest jobs in the world, and they have my total respect for everything they go through.🙏
