@@SailingByeFelicia BS. Real pirates have actual machine guns. Your silly scatter gun that does not kill people and doesn't work more than 50 yards away would just anger them. And then they would harm you.
@@CrAzYDUde2587 Ok, you shoot one. First off, you'll miss because the boat is tossing and rolling and you're quivering with fear and urinating on yourself, and you're not a Navy SEAL.
@@nordisk1874 Autopilots fail, but it's not even drama when he's got a crew of that size. Everything else was fake. The "pirates" the fuel problems, the standard boarding by Customs. All of that is fake
Most of the small boats coming up to you in the Caribbean are fishermen looking to trade and sell you stuff, or possibly Central American drug enforcement.
Because they don't exist there. Only piracy reports are down by Venezuela- poor fisherman looking to steal some money or an outboard. Getting killed in a gunfight over a $50 and an engine is silly.
@@mattz1230 not to mention off the coast of Guatemala. We we were sailing from Belize City to Utilla with 65 passengers onboard on a small US Flagged Cruise Ship. It was modeled seas. We kept seeing this flashlight being turned off and un in between the waves. Capt told us to turn off the flag light and get firehouses off the stern. It was a 25’ open boat with a guy on the bow with a shotgun and a guy on the stern with the same operating the outboard. There was a tarp covering what was in the boat. Drug runners are pirates as well!
You dumped diesel fuel at sea ⁉️ Why would your fuel bladders go overboard ⁉️ Federales in Texas ⁉️ Pirates in the Gulf ⁉️ What a bunch of malarkey ‼️‼️⛵⚓
Exactly. I've sailed those 'pirate infested waters' extensively, and I call major b.s. though in a sailboat, so I never had a chance to "dump the auxiliary fuel bladders" wtf?
@@r2371-n8e They simply pumped the fuel into their main fuel tanks before the spare bladder tanks fell overboard in the rough seas. You can see him hooking up the fuel transfer pump to the 12 volt battery in the video.
@@libertyforamericanow Nothing was thrown overboard into the water. You are completely misinterpreting what the video said. The fuel was moved from the auxiliary tanks into the main tanks using a 12 V battery pump and the auxiliary tank bladders were not thrown out.
Nicaragua, Venezuela and Honduras have "pirates" but they're mostly just fishermen that just want to steal your stuff. The real pirates are those country's law enforcement. They will board your boat, take whatever they want and if you fight back, you'll most likely get tossed in a 3rd world prison for a while and have your boat impounded.
But why would they be close to your boat when they have an entire ocean to avoid it? Concern is understandable when your life and everything you own is on the line. It’s the same as getting a knock on the door at 2am, bring a gun because you’re better with it than without it
@@gabeross515 Because 99% of the fishermen out there will approach yachts to trade and sell fish. Are you going to shoot some innocent fisherman because they came up in the dark? It happens ALL THE TIME. Your life is not on the line, nor is your vessel, even when confronted with real pirates/thieves. They'll take a few things and leave. They don't want the trouble of a stolen boat or dead crew. And you're a fool if you're answering the door at 2 am. Like cruising you can AVOID trouble by staying away from areas with theft. It's the same as not answering the door.
Pirates…only pirates in the gulf is the guy that does the pirate kiddie birthday party boat rides in Clearwater! Federales in the US? We call them the US Coast Guard/DHS.
Oh boy… NORAD is North American AEROSPACE Defense. Not North American ocean defense, that falls to the USCG and CBP (aka ICE). And occasionally the USN. Where did you get norad from?
I work on a rig and the gulf has been really rough lately. It's kinda strange. I'm glad I'm back onshore But I've never heard of pirates being out here
@@TheSnowMan-cy9tu He's playing drama queen with the 'pirates" and the guy with a gun, the fuel storage was stupid, and he's got enough people that hand steering is not a problem.
@@mattz1230 Yea I thought that fuel storage was pretty ridiculous lol. Also, typical content creator bs with the "pirates" that stunt was embarrassing. I didn't know if there was more stuff I didn't catch considering I'm rarely on a boat.
We took out 57 ft Viking from Sanibel Island FL, wear coast through the entire state via the Caloosahatchee River, through 4 locks, to Stuart East coast, and up the coastline of FL all the way to Savannah Ga. We could have just zipped around the bottom of Florida but it was hurricane season. So we chose to run through the backwaters and I’m glad we did because we avoided Hurricane Charlie. We still felt the hurricane but by anchoring just on the east side of the Ortona Locks. Still rough even in the river but a FAR cry from the gulf and eventually the Atlantic. What an amazing tour that was. I grew up on that boat, so it was nice to finally take my own family out on it. We stayed in Savannah for two nights taking the dingy back n fourth. The kids eventually talked us into going up to Emerald Isles. We made it to NC, but had to turn right back south again thanks to yet another hurricane on its way. We beat it and moored back in the Caloosahatchee River. And eventually home to Fort Myers, FL. on the Orange River. I’m glad my kids get to experience the beautiful waters around our state. We hardly saw traffic. The kids were amazed how secluded and private the entire trip was. No traffic lights, no gas stations, a zero stress vacation. ❤❤ We’re not weekend warriors anymore, we used to take the 23 ft center console out on weekends. But Today the rivers in South FL are almost as packed as the highways now. We make a trip out of it in the big boat, as my kids call it, and go where no one else’s goes. The big issue is keeping the kids off their phones. We have Starlink and other means on the boat. So I pretend that it’s down a lot. 😂 😂😂😂 Enjoy your weekend!
@@tuko99xtheugly56 I believe that they simply dumped the fuel into their main fuel tanks before they slipped overboard in the rough seas. They definitely could have worded many things in this video much better.
@@tuko99xtheugly56 The video actually shows him hooking the fuel transfer pump up to the 12 V battery to transfer the fuel into their tank. Go back and rewatch the video and you will see him hooking up the battery. I watched one of his other videos where he demonstrated this process.
Pirates off Somalia are largely gone now too. Youre in more danger of colliding with a warship from the international task force there. Worst place for pirates now is around phillipines/borneo and Indonesia.
Lol he said pirate fested so i assumed he was sailing around the horn of africa or the red sea, not one of literally the most popular boat cruising areas in the world. 😂
Are you looking for security? Retired soldier with necessary equipment to protect yachts, commercial fishing, or houseboats during transportation or operations. Was in the Army but i have decades of experience living in Coastal Atlantic areas from Hampton Roads, VA to the Golden Isles in Georgia. Just me and my well trained Boxer that everyone loves.
A highly watched route. People will think twice before messing with any vessel. I've gone down from Charlston and before that from Cape Canaveral, twice through the Bahamas. The only pirates there was me and my dad and others bringing over my fathers, pleasure fishing boats. 😂
😂😂😂 say pirates 😂😂 they only gone take ya boat to make a run or two , that boat insured man freaking yaself out for nothing 😂😂😂 if dem boys wanted that boat ya shotty ain no match for Ak my guy 🤣🤣🤣

When you mentioned that when you encountered bad weather in the GOM and you went 'off course' for the night. For your info, the proper term is 'hove-to'...
I did this for eight hours turned into waves as only option when they went to 20' I was on 40' trawler and waves were crashing over the flybridge. Every third. Off great inagua. Mona passage. Took the thorny path. Now I know why they call it that. Eight hours into waves because would have rolled if I turned around. Only had a dyer dink for lift raft. Dumb. Finally had a tanker change course to knock down waves for me. Thank God. Turned around thru sea anchor and waited for a better day. Zero headway that night
I know nothing about sailing or taking a big boat through those waters, and I have a funny feeling; most pirates are near Europe Africa, and Asia. Then again I’ve been wrong
I would never risk my own life a millionaire and or billionaire. My short life here, I'm only bungee jumping for my dose of danger. Money is worthless. I appreciate your video, just be careful. These pirates have much more experience than you ❤
“Pirate infested waters”.😂 I used to do armed counter-piracy. Haven’t seen any reports of a piracy problem in the Gulf of Mexico. Drug submarine problem, sure. But not piracy.
Oh my god I work at the marina in galveston where this boat moved too! I saw a couple of videos in the series but I wasn't sure till I saw the name on the back of the boat
Same thoughts here. IF they had informed the "U.S. Federales" (COAST Guard, Customs, DHS) that they dumped fuel bladders with fuel ... how many fines/years with their Boy Friends in the Federales Hotel? 🤣 🤣
