Dangote Petrochemical Refinery sent its first phase of 150 engineer trainees to India to get exposure and first-hand practical knowledge of refinery operations.
They have returned and have been sharing their learning experience while in India, and are ready to apply the knowledge they acquired to the Refinery, when it commences operations.
Proshare WebTV brings you excerpts from the presentations and interviews with the engineer trainees.

No university teaches experience . Job training is the best way to gain hands on experience . 👍👍 Mr Dangote for making African proud . Love from Kenya 🇰🇪🇰🇪🇰🇪🇰🇪. Moving forward let us reform the education sector so as to address skill gap .

Black people could always find any litle thread of negative in anything positive, just look at the comments section. They just cannot see anything in a positive view.

Are you a Black person? Did you make negative comments? Is it fair for you to generalize about an entire race based on the comments of a few people?

Shame on all the Nigerian kleptocracy politicians. Nigerians are now travelling to poor India to have what is call stupid training. From my point of view, these guys are not well competing enough. What is wrong with Nigerian education sector?

Why can't Nigeria invest in some decent universities? One shouldn't have to leave Nigeria to become a competent chemical or petroleum engineer, Nigeria is a major crude oil producer after all.

Fix our universities and will would not have to go overseas for training. Fix our run down refineries, then buy that sucker and you will not have to use other people's precious land to build your big boy toy. You see dangote is building but not thinking of the long term effects of what he is doing. A refinery is non salvageable, think about it

Neither Dangote nor the FG is preventing anybody from competing. If you do your homework you should come across the fact that actually 18 licences were issued to other investors (Nigerians and Foreigners) to build and operate refineries so that to solve the recurrent and scandalous fuel shortage in the country. None of them took action; all making excuses as to the risks involved being too much. Dangote took the risk and now you are here sitting in front of computer complaining about absence of competition. Just ask those that were granted a license to take action and do what they are supposed to do and you'll see competition. This so-called monopoly by Dangote is just some urban myth or if you will, legend created by some people looking for excuses to justify their own unwillingness to take risk or who just can't stand other people's success. Seriously, a new refinery does not had to GDP? You got to be kidding. What's your definition of growth?
