Dangote is paving the way for future African entrepreneurs to think big and believe that it is actually possible for Africans to solve their own problems...my prayer is that may DangoteGroup remain viable way after he is gone. Here in Kenya we have seen many companies that were once strong and profitable close down once the founder has died. Succession is a major problem for many African businesses. My friend Chijioke Agbo, Considering the financial and the logistical challenges involve, do you think building this huge 650kbpd Refinery complex which is one and half the entire Nation Refinery in size at full capacity, Petrochemical complex and 3millionT of fertilizer per annum plant that easy?? You should know Dangote is NOT building a shopping complex BUT the largest single train refinery in the world.

GOD in AFRICA is much STRONGER NOW. (my secret) I have been watching the moves that Aliko Dangote is making, then I search mentally for positive ENERGY flow through out THIS EARTH. Not just Nigeria. That is how powerful his ENERGY FLOW IS. What this Earth is about experience from him is MAJOR SUCCESS/Positive Energy flowing. So, nothing negative can touch him. @@mrzagamaje9434 they are also participating in building..together with experts from China, India and Germany. In fact, the majority of workers are from the city. Bust since Nigeria does not build huge refineries every day...we need all the expertise we can get.

People should not be expecting the price of the PMS (Petrol) would be lower because of the refinery. The present price being paid for a litre is being subsidised by government, that is the reason you are paying the price/s you are paying now. By the time the products of the refinery get to the market, you are likely to pay the same or a little bit less than what you are paying now because the subsidy will soon be removed. Apart from the insignificant reduction in petrol prices, there are other benefits like employment with multiplication effects, more money in the government purse to execute beneficial projects in the country (i.e) if the polilooters do the right thing by stopping embezzling the accrued funds.
It is taking too long because no be beans. It is a huge project. Anyway, the refinery is almost complete and should resume production in February next year hopefully
This is an example of a true African, putting investments in his home country, employing people, growing the economy & still making his monies. Time to look inward & every African play their own part instead of asking what the govt will do for u & criticize nonstop, then taking the monies to foreign countries that won’t even like you.
Next you guys should built copper and iron ore melters to make your own steel instead of exporting your minerals to more developed countries like China.
This is an over ambitious project by all standards and knowing our national technical level. Again flawed by it's single train design. Really I do not know why the then DPR approved it. 150k bpsd replicated within the south south eg Edo, Bayelsa and Akwa Ibom or Cross Rivers states would have been an ideal spread. Anyways all hands must be on deck to make it a success otherwise we will go down with it.😢
