Recently Pau asked some of us what it was we saw in them as children, that made us follow the band. Well, I saw a couple things instantly. First, they were having fun on stage. They looked like the stage was where they wanted to be and where they belonged. Second, their integrity jumped off the screen at you. They were not trying to look kool, or be avatars of a rock band. They were sisters playing their hearts out, and playing music that they loved. I was smitten from the first encounter.
These ladies are the real deal.. "They have it." all of "it" What is it? you ask... Sibling magic, exceptional vocals, energy, personality, genius song writing, friendly, down to earth, caring, and 50 or 60 more great things I'm sure.. #1 thing.. They make me happy..,. 🤟🎶☮️
I call it authenticity. Their joy, discipline, energy, passion, love of music, love for each other, and love for their fans just practically oozes off the screen. And they are all riveting in their own way.
Yes, Pau has a personality with a strong theatrical component (which by the way I love) and her theatricality is attractive because it is not something fake, it is her nature. On the other hand, in interviews he has said that he is aware that not only must she play well, but she must give the best possible show to the audience, hence her broad and showy movements.
She's a born ham plain and simple and more power to her! I definitely wouldn't change a thing about her. Her mugging for the audience is a big part of their charm. Great theatrics and never a gram of insincerity or inauthenticity. 🔥🔥🔥🔥🎯
When the camera shows each sister in turn, my heart melts with Ale, my heart races with Dany, and I can’t get rid of a big goofy smile when I see Pau that my cheeks hurt after the video ends. An incredible way to jump start the heart and start the day than a cup of coffee!
The Warning were born to play live! So much energy and passion, it makes it easy to forget how young they really are, and knowing this, I can't wait to see what they have in store for us!
*Disciple* is one of their songs about social media and how it affects people in ways they don't even know... Dany sings the part of the "leader"... Pau sings the part of a "follower" or "disciple"... basically they're speaking about how people take what they see on social media and believe it, whatever it is... in this way, certain groups out there control the narrative and what is happening... this is a cynical song telling people to think for themselves and not believe everything they see or hear... *XXI Century Blood* , *Z* , and *Kool-Aid Kids* are three others that also speak about social media... the 1st one, XXICB, has an OMV that tells a story... it and the director were nominated for (and won?) several awards when it was released in 2017 when Dany was 17, Pau was 15, and Ale was 12 😹 TWA ⚡🤘😸🤘⚡ TWA
You want some Pau sass, give a watch of their song Narcisista - Live at Foro Didi in Monterrey, written by Pau in 2019. The band's critics had been accusing the girls of being cultural traitors, because they only wrote their lyrics in English. A then 17-year old Pau wrote the band's first song in Spanish in response, and in defense of herself and her sisters. Rather than wait to include the song on their next album, they recorded it immediately and released it as a standalone single. They debuted the song in their hometown and recorded and posted the show. Pau delivers a stunning performance, singing with strong conviction, with her lyrics projected on a screen behind her to make sure that her message to those critics was clear. Pau is fearless, and the song and performance are a highwater mark for the band for me. The Teatro version is worth a watch as well, but the song's debut is something very special. Besides, it looks like you've not seen Pau sing lead yet. That's a real shame.
Music is a very personal and individual experience. For me, Disciple is a perfect song. Dany's riffs, Pau's and Ale's rhythm section, lyrics that are on point, and Dany and Pau sharing lead vocals while playing their parts of influencer and disciple all make this song such a powerful listening experience. A little guilty pleasure...I love that little count down 2-3-GO! Gets me pumped every time.
Ale will leave the theater cleaner than when they got there, her thunderous bass lines literally shake the auditoriums and all that old dust comes down. you feel your whole body vibrate with her playing. Ive seen them 14 times live. they will be in Europe twice this year. hope you catch a show.
This is such a banger they kill it they never disappoint. DPA are so talented and incredible live. 🔥Had to stop and replay that fill by Pau while singing a few times to confirm that I saw what I saw amazing. 🤯Thanks for reacting to Disciple which was the first ever TW song I saw. Obviously I was hooked and became a proud member of TWA. 🤘⚡🔥
Pau, sassy?! Man, that's her middle name! Pau's got all the sass, and isn't afraid to use it! This is one my favorite songs by The Warning, live or the music video (which is amazing also, btw).😍 🤘😎🤘
Ale (Alejandra) 🎸🎤+ Pau (Paulina) 🥁🎤+ Dany (Daniela) 🎤🎸 Villarreal. Three talented Mexican sisters. !!!🎵ole ole ole oleeee Warning Warning🎵¡¡¡. Greetings from Argentina.
For vintage Pau, go back to about 2017, say the Ted talk, or some of their early stage shows. There you'll see big arm Pau, doing her Animal technique. So much fun!
They're going to be in your neck of the woods in April, the question is, are you going to go see them? I highly recommed you do. By then they'll be playing new music as well! Nice reaction.
@Braindead - You used the word "sassy" to describe Paulina, because her energy is so infectious! In Hawaiian we'd call her "kolohe" which means rascal. But I think in Spanish she is "locura"! CRAZY! 🤪🤣
Gear Masters have a video of each of them going over the gear they use, and they do talk about the LED fret markers. It seems most people like to watch Pau, I do too. Theatrical is a good term for her. But I love Dany as a front woman or person. I’ve them live and when Dany is going all out which is most of the time, there is no stopping her.
Nice reaction, but I just have a suggestion or two for you... You seem to miss quite a bit of the video when you close your eyes, that's a shame. And two, you have plenty of screen area there, it'd be great if you could make the video larger. Thanks!
Just to let you know, because you're a musician, they all three have gear rundown videos on the Digital Tour Bus RU-vid channel. Paulina's just came out today.
