leonardo dm Me too. Some people talk for 10 minutes before they play a note. But when a vid starts with the shit they're trying to teach you, you know exactly if it's what you're looking for without having to sit through endless BS.

Of all supposed instructors on RU-vid, and we know there are so many, this guy is most definitely the best. Why? Because he gets it right down to the last detail irrespective of how 'hard' it possibly is. And damn does he nail every tiny detail. Lots of respect, man.

Also if anyone else gets stuck on the high part that loops 15th fret b string, 13th fret b string, and 14th fret g string, you can loop 10b 13b 10e. with first finger and fourth finger is easiest for me but do whatever is best for you and happy guitaring!! ( it’s not the way John Frichiante does it exactly but it sounds roughly the same

That little repetitive high lick is like a tongue twister. A metronome sure helps practice that part. Then, the end shred is a whole new conversation.

instead of shredding you can just do a bend through the first and second note, then pick the third note, that works too and doesnt sound bad basicly bend the first note, skip the second and play the third

Boss DS2 is what Frusciante uses. In this particular case, it think it sounds more like a fuzz, though. The DS2 is good first dist pedal, especially if you're into Frusciante. Get it used used cheap.

pringelsthegamefreak how can it be D Minor if the chords in the chorus are in A minor scale. D minor for example has G Minor when it's G Major played in the chorus which can be found in the A minor scale

+Ray Hoodoo Simple Pentatonic. plus dmin and fmaj have the same notes, so it isn't exactly clear which key he plays in. Learn some theory, then you'll know. It's pretty simple :)

IMO It's because the mechanics of it is simple, but John Frusciante is a freaking genius. And to make it sing and be as musical as it is when he does it, is, well. Downright hard as hell. If everybody could do it, we'd all be rich and famous rock stars. You know? You'll get it. :)
