It used to be called Love. And there are virtues, like being concerned with how to serve other people ahead of serving yourself. Giving your effort productively for a good cause is the best feeling in the world. If there was more of that, and less sense that we're all in it for ourselves, then maybe equality would cease to be an issue.
The destiny of a person is not just determined by their good or bad decisiones but by many other factors like their environement and also the fact that society doesn't offer him or her the same oppotunities than another person. So It is not dependant 100%on you this Will be in a society where the same oportunities are offered to the son of a beggar as to the son of a millionaire
If you really want to push something like egalitarianism into society then the best way to do it is to convince the people to believe in it like what Mr. Hausman said, because that way they'll carry on those beliefs into the business realm and most likely have an egalitarian economy. The only thing that I would make sure of is not to mandate people to follow that philosophy. Let them decide what they believe in. Still push egalitarianism but not to the point where you are taking away the individuals free will.
9:00 So as long as the American population forgets about the rest of the world and fixes its own problems... the rest of the world can remain in the equality of debt created by their employment to those that abandoned them.
Egalitarianism may not necessarily be communism, but it has a lot to do with it. Instead of wishing to have a totalitarian state which redistributes wealth in the name of egalitarianism, we should better wish to have a state that defends our natural freedom to do what we wish with the things that we own and worked our ass to get. No one should be allowed to strip anything from you unless you allow them to, or that’s called THEFT.
I view it more as not charging or putting a value on basic necessities like medicine, education, food, water, warmth, wind & water tight home with hygiene facilities But maintaining what’s a reasonable amount of home & transport for an individual or family. It becomes horrendous when coastal villages are decimated to ghost towns because people with credits can outbid on and buy 2nd, 3rd & 4th homes to rent out seasonally It becomes unsustainable when greener cars cost the same price as petrol guzzlers. It becomes unsustainable for the world when others have the ability to buy several different things in different colours when others are starving to death. Until the world sees greed & money inequality as a problem to resolve in order to save our species it will never end.
