Johnny was drunk asf which helped his durability no question about that. And chosen almost won while Daniel finished the job. Chosen is a warrior while Daniel finally got his revenge.

100% he would of finished silver if he hadn’t turned his attention to Johnny. I love how In KK2 Chozen seemed heartless and this season his character progression has been insane. Definitely one of my favourite characters within the KK/cobra Kai franchise

That's a really great point

no no no no. this ending was awful. The final show off between Terry Silver and Daniel was underwhelming as all hell, the season over all is good but this is very very rushed. It ruins everything called excitement moving forward. It's bad story telling to have the hero's be rewarded in such a large way for acting reckless going drunk to beat up terry silver. It's also bad writing to let chozen live cause if they ever decide to go the life and death stakes again the dispension of disbelief is all gone after he took that attack to the back and lived. This was the worst most rushed ending and a horrible send off to Terry Silver, he at least deserved to put up somewhat of a fight. The conclution to just use Terry's quick silver method against him feels lazy and quick, like it feels like the entire season was a waste of time since they could all just have gotten drunk and gone to terry silvers house and defeated him in the first episode using his quick silver method, the entire season should have been 3 minutes which is all it took for the greatest villain to be taken out and now we have nothing to look forward to.

To that end I would like to point something out. Part of why Silver manipulated Daniel in KK3 was because Daniel had the rules of the tournament so far up his head. But in the real world, there are no rules to surviving in a fight. Here Silver gets to see that his quicksilver method really does work... When you are literally fighting for your life and there are no rules

Here in Season 5, much like In KK2, Daniel is in the mode of fight for your life, no rules or restrictions

A little like aikido.

Using mostly calm Miyagi-Do style karate with the mindset of the quicksilver method and a screaming eagle from Eagle Fang into a crane kick is such a good combination of all the styles.

They had their own arcs in this story, Johnny being a father for Miguel, Robby, and his future child with Carmen and Daniel regaining hope when he lost that hope after his defeat against Silver. Chozen already went through his arc in season 3

Coming from someone who experienced that, I think there's a lot of truth to what you're saying. Look what happened in Round 2: he had people (especially his wife) behind him. It was almost as if Daniel utilized that, plus that Quicksilver crap that Silver loves so much and threw it all back in his face in the best way you can possibly imagine.

I still think Terry is probably a better fighter than Daniel. But Daniel unquestionably fought better than in his first fight with Terry.

Also - Karate Kid 3 - when SILVER was part of it. Daniel broke the main Bonsai tree.....Mr Miyagi healed it - and told Daniel that the tree will be fine - cause it had strong root. Just like Daniel. It was perfect that the tree and root came back - to defeat Silver.

Daniel found balance Chozen was fatigued from fighting all the senseis, plus he was drunk Daniel was also drunk Silver only has a few superficial scars, and only really fought Chozen prior to this Daniel BEAT Silver using Silver’s own methods, plain and simple

this fight wasn't satisfactory. Silver should have been the final villain and there should have been a final 1 v 1 fight without a bunch of aspects potentially weakning him before the first. The villains should have won this fight so we could be excited for a final season or something. Chozen should also have died from wounds like that.

I would argue that Terry was warmed up for the fight. Daniel had also been drinking. I love the way the show is written though, so anyone can argue it from different angles.
