@@joelkellam9373 I guess you aren't aware of this concept. It's called bluffing. It's when a player that has nothing decides to bet to induce a player with a better hand to fold. There are a variety of hands koon could have there that he would also be jamming with to apply pressure with the chip lead that are worse than bottom pair. Or do you think Koon is just a player incapable of bluffing?

@@jo6898 I busted twice in the same £200 with aces vs laggy runner runners who bluffed the flop with pretty much zero equity. Suffice it to say, those two £200 bullets hurt. And yeah, I vented. Of course, bad beats happen all the time. But there is a difference busting out early on a bad beat and being the stone bubbler after losing 3 races in a row, watching 5 small stacks win races and on the back of a year like the one he just had. I think he took it rather well to be honest.

From the way Dnegs played in the earlier seasons of HSP, guy obviously had NO idea how to play NL hold’em. I mean, he got murdered playing heads up against BMW Coupe, a NL2K grinder from Montréal. Decent enough player, nothing special. Dnegs ran hotter than the sun playing tournaments in the early 2000’s. He could bust every single tourney from now on and still run wayyyyy beyond expectations. Guy is entitled and clueless.

@@poema86 ? I am not saying I like to gamble... my point is that whilst you may maximise your expected value by taking a tricky line with AA, you also expose yourself to greater risk of being outdrawn. The safest way to play AA is to try to get it in on the flop. 🤷‍♂️👍

Pocket Aces only have the most equity pre flop from my understanding once the flop happens literally every other possibility to beat you becomes a possibility so them Aces can turn to a Horror Hand quick just like any other
