The Ak could also be ahead of combo draws and also get pairs like a 10 or lower to fold. Not a bad play Especially heads up where theres usually alot of bluffing

I remember the first time I sat at a table with Daniel. Him, Scottie Nyugen, and Jamie Gold were the big names. Incredible player and a great conversationalist at the table. Needlessly to say, I packed up and left about losing 50k. Stopping myself early

I had the exact same hand happen to me 2 weeks ago.

He was always going call down to the river and get there. That hand played itself.

If he doesn't think he's holding a Jack but has some kind of two pair, Daniel still has 10 outs, that's more than an open-ended straight. 6 outs for Ace and King and 4 outs for a Queen. Not a bad play, just bad timing to go against a guy with flopped trips.

The way this hand played out i would have put Smil on having the 10 , Q-10 . 9-10 . Thats why daniel going all in on the turn doesn't make sense. because if the river comes up empty for daniel, Smil is not risking anymore money in the pot and is checking it down( if he indeed had a 10) and that could work for Daniel as well to see if Ace High is good.

There is no such thing as luck. Daniel wins this 9% of the time. Just so happened it was this hand. You dont get to where he is without tons of skill

You win tournaments by giving yourself chances to win. Sure he made a bad move, but he also gave himself a 9% chance to win it, while his opponent a 91% to *just* keep playing. 9% is not zero.

That all in doesn't make any sense, it was clear that his opponent has something and if you had a J or a set (full house) you would only scare him away so by going all in you show that you don't have the J or better so any pokey pair or pair (except the 4) or even draw with pair might call you... Negreanu was at one time in top 3 players of the world (him, P. Ivey, Dwan, and Isildur1 (rotaging)) but now I seriously doubt that he's even in top 10. Wish him the best and I hope he will be able to regain his skills and adapt his game.

That was a bad play according to the solver, but I'm rooting for dnegs no matter what lol 😂
