One of THE biggest things on the Irish calendar - the day when Daniel O'Donnell invites all his fans for a cup of tea at his home in Donegal.
I had nothing else on this day, so I nipped up to north-west Donegal and braved the elements to capture this intriguing snippet of rural Ireland. Think "Hotel California": you can check out any time you like, but you can never leave...

Hi Daniel, I have to Thank Pauline McDermott Smith who web site Ireland Of A Thousands Welcomes showcase one of you songs. I have to say I fell in Love with your music. I'm from the North West in the USA, and your music sounds like the country music here. But then again our country music started way back in Ireland. I will be listening more often.

Incredible! What a nice, gentle person he is. And that was 1992. Now he is 62 and still the same gentle person as then. May God bless him and his wife and family every day of his life!

I remember doing this with my Mom (Bless her) we had great times, Only once was the sun shining we danced in the street, after the charity Walk, loved Kathleen & Mrs O'Donnell.

I think we can overlook a bit of inclement weather when we've got hot tea, one of the greatest legends of Irish rock and a three mile queue of some of the sexiest women I have ever laid eyes on. Rock on Daniel! 🤘 🎸 🔥
