@@neverenoughgames72 I said that "I can't remember" any. There was another RU-vid channel of similar size that was riddled with them. I unfollowed and blocked about a year ago.
@@willwade8229 no no no my friend. We hear it from the media now 2 races out of 24 an that's it he is done. I mean that's exactly how it works now. Expect if you're Perez. Or Logan Sergeant
I personally think he’s past it, I like him as a person but I don’t think he’s as fast as he used to be. The season is only young still but it doesn’t look good.
I just think that the Toro Rosso seat was always for a new young driver to get them into the sport and I feel this should have gone to Liam or more than proved he deserved a try...giving it to DR has never sat well with me and even if he was in the top 10 every race I would still feel the same.
@@MOo8996cz as I said the season is young, but historically his performances have been poor since leaving Renault, and even then was exactly breathtaking, and that is some years ago now.
Would love to see Dani turn it around but seems he just hasn't been the same since leaving Renault. Give him til mid season to prove himself, but if he doesn't turn it around the seat should go to someone else. If Dani's replacement consistently out drives Yuki, consider replacing him too. Unless a Japanese driver is part of the Honda package deal.
@thebbiddim882 it wasn't about max. he had 8 dnfs from engine problems that pushed his championship standing below bottas and max, upto 5th. he was frustrated with the car. one of the dnfs being his pole position too
I understand his reasons, NoOne has been able to fight VER from the inside... YET! Both him and SAI moved too quickly too fast; hence they started burning bridges too early in their careers. SAI has proven his worth (and will do so further this year) he'll have plenty of options (Audi?). RIC has proven his adaptability is not good: _terrible news in F1; especially for the next gen cars._
He did alright with the Renault move. He was consistently their top driver and their car was in the upper midfield. It was really the McLaren move that did him in. It seemed like a good move at the time, but he never got to grips with the car. I wonder if he'll ever recover.
@@robertm5969 Same as SAI, they started jumping too soon too fast. I mean after his McL move; "A huuuuge bet!" Either your prove your worth or... you burn your cards waaaay quicker than your career. SAI has proven himself and will surprise many this year, RIC? I'd start looking into WEC.
I dont think there will be what ifs. Rb was obsessed with Verstappen even when Daniel was performing just as good, Baku 2018 says it all, he had no future as a 1st driver in that team.
While I admire the fact that he still believes in himself, there's a very thin line between optimism and delusion that is not difficult to cross. It's still early to say, but I think that Honey Badger crossed it.
Enough with Ricciardo. He got too many chances. I understand his marketing value, but there should be some young driver with talent and interesting character
You might be on the wrong line of thought. There's obviously been some shit stirring at RedBull ever since Mateschitz passed away. Horner and Marko are in a powerstruggle as Mateschitz was the one who kept the balance between being the boss over Horner and friends with Marko. Horner's camp now technically has more shares (51%) and demands control, while Marko's camp wants to continue Mateschitz legacy. That's the rift within the team. Verstappen is completely loyal to Marko, but Horner wants Marko out just as bad as Helmut wants to remove Horner. Knowing where the loyalty of his best driver lies, Horner brought back Ricciardo in case Verstappen would leave if his plot to remove Marko would succeed. Everybody is talking about Ricc replacing Checo, but Ricc is the back-up to the risk of Verstappen potentially leaving. That's why Checo's so vague about his seat. He's camp Horner as well. He's only willing to go another round if he doesn't have to go up against Verstappen again. He's willing to take his chances against Ricc.
@karningham2849 He was let go by mclaren but not renault. Last year he was literally the highest points scorer of AT and he needed one race for that after the injury.
I really would like to see what times Max and Sergio can drive in the RB Visa cars, and vice versa. I really would like to know if it’s the driver, the car or both. It would be a really cool experiment that they should really do. Or would something like that not be allowed?
Even MC came back after retirement and it took him time. I think we were over estimating Ric . The cars are not the same and Yuki is in this from long time .
Stick a fork in 'em, he's done! 😆 Danny Ric has been a 'has been' since he ran away from Max and made Red Bull look like idiots, when he jumped ship like a rat off a sinking ship to Renault to IMMEDIATELY start the downward spiral by going off into the grass at the start of the season opener in Australia of all places! Then to McLaren to get his lunch taken by Lando and then off into the ether of "Driver Limbo" along with Mick the Prick until Horner throws him a lifeline because Toto did for Schumacher. Daniel Ricciardo's Formula 1 career has actually been over for a long time, it's just most people are only realizing it now. 😉
Daniel should have never left RB and he is underperforming, but you are waaay too emotionally invested and weirdly resentful towards drivers who are human beings like the rest of us.
@chieflion9526 Ask everyone who actually knows Mick at BOTH Haas AND the Ferrari Driver Academy, who both dropped Schumacher like a bad habit at the same time. Also, that 'miraculous' change of form midway through his second season in F2 at Prema? A suspicious person might ask how that car suddenly had so much extra speed down the straights, when it's supposed to be a spec car series. Mick is not Michael, he's Mick and he's never ever gonna be an F1 caliber driver. A sponsor-drawing, LMP/Hypercar driver at best and that's only because of his father's reputation not legit driving skill.
They love to ignore facts. Like the fact that Ricciardo made up places while Yuki went backwards. Reality is, the RB is still a shit car, after all the hype from last year about the so-called improvements they were making
@@timjohnun4297He went from 14th to 15th during the start until the SC, Tsunoda was holding Bearman in a Ferrari which was clearly faster in that sametime. The reason DR even manages to catch up was because Kmag purposefully coasting in the impossible to overtake part of the track and losing good 1-2 seconds each lap so that he could create a gap between the train and Hulk.
@@justaregularguy1234 How far ahead did Yuki finish in front of Ricciardo? More than 40 seconds? Remember, zero points to RB in 2 GP's now. Clearly the car is shit. If it wasn't, Yuki would be finishing in the points, given how good everybody seems to think he is....
@@timjohnun4297 I'm not gonna argue with the current RB car being garbage, but Yuki did performed better than DR in Saudi and Bahrain. They were under SC during DR's pitstop so he didn't really lose 40 seconds. Kmag was coasting in the impossible to overtake part of the track and dump everything he has in the part of the track that can be used to overtake. The train was 1-2 seconds slower every lap that's why DR could catch up.
I think I've been saying even when ricciardo had a handful of good weekends in title winning machinery that its never been that good. He might be the most over rated driver since vettel
I think part of Marko slagging off Ricciardo is due to DR's ties to Horner and wants to remove him to assert his influence in the team. Max is at RB due to Marko and is in that camp. Checo and Ricc are at RB due to Horner. Yuki is there due the Honda-partnership. If Marko gets booted, then Max will jump to Mercedes out of loyalty, Newey and Wache will likely leave and RB's dominance will end - but Horner will have sole control and will put Ricc in the seat RBR-seat. Checo is also hedging his bets on this drama. There's no point in staying for another year if he's wingmanning for Verstappen yet again - but if Max leaves.. then he's up against Ricc and that's an interesting bet he'd be willing to take. Then we'll have an interesting season where RB will be falling out of dominance with lesser drivers, Merc will have the most 'in form' driver, while Ferrari will have Hamilton and Leclerc battling it out. Can't wait.
*Checo is THE South American hero!* (No Brazilians or Argentineans to captivate that Huge market). - He is everywhere in Mexico now, even selling coffee. He could start selling pampers and toddlers would buy them themselves. - Even FOX Sports Mexico created a commentary team just around him: his pals and ex-Telcel sponsored drivers conform it (terrible broadcasting though). - Fits exactly what Telmex/Claro/TelCel have been trying to achieve in the region: _Telecom dominance in the Entire Region (how much is that worth?)._ - *How much is that Market worth for RB?* One of the markets that consumes the most soft drinks in the world? - What's Ford's (future) view on this, especially now that their sales are faltering in the US? BIG TIME? _IMO Checo is the Latino equivalent of HAM, he'll find enough offers for years to come just on sponsorship $$$ alone..._ If it was $30m while @ Force India, I'd say he's at least worth double that now. Who can deny $60-80m in fresh funds?
We are 2 races in. I understand that DR was expected to perform hella, but give him a break? If by summer he is still as he is getting outqualified, I understand if hes out, but like give him a bit? This happened in 21 with him too, yall hated him and the moment monza happened you "knew he still had it in him!!!!!" fucks sake.
Ha no! If he secures 2nd again like last year RedBull ain't dropping him! Also, ever heard about Telcel and Carlos Slim? Yeah... you both don't clearly know how marketing works. He is delivering both on marketing and driving! So no....
@@raymondlg7815 Oh well please explain to us how marketing works then. Is it similar to how Danny Ric is such a high value marketing dream, cuz how much will that matter if he doesn't perform? I dont think you understand how power and leverage actually work.
@chieflion9526 oh really? Okay, I'll elaborate: Australia Population: 25 million Mexico Population: 126 MILLIONS! TELCEL-Mexico ( Redbull-SPONSOR) NETWORTH: 13 BILLION The man backing up Checos Career from the get-go Financially: Carlos Slim -Networth 100 billion! I wonder, Where does F1 get more exposure, Views! Australia with a population of 25 million or Mexico with a population of 125 million! Redbull knows better! Danny comedy doesn't cut it anymore! And Checo got 2nd subchampeon last year, And I know he will get it again this year. Anyways, It looks like Redbull is auto destruction. Path itself with that whole Horner fiasco, and Josh verstappen going crazy..
@@chieflion9526 oh and forgot to mention: Perez generates $33 million from social media alone, more than Verstappen! ✌️😁. You just don't know, Money Talks! And as long he keeps that car in the top 5! They don't give a shit! Max is gonna win anyways
The Ricciardo excuses keep playing out admittedly, but did everyone ignore the fact that he had a 42 second pitstop and still finished within a couple of places of Yuki? And gained places while Yuki lost them?
I know everyone just loves to act like he didn’t want to compete with Max and all that Jazz,, Max wasn’t the Max of today at the time he left and maybe that had a little to do with it but if you watch Vidoes of Max and Daniel they get along really well ,, in fact I think Max gets on better with him than anyone …and you have to remember that Honda was a GP2 engine at the time lol and a lot of that was still up in the air I think Toro Rosso was the Honda Guinea pig in 2018 ,, and I’m sure Renault sold him on the future because they certainly had big plans and they are a true constructor after all….
The sim is the sim - the car is THE BLOODY CAR. Genius Dr Marko sacked a driver before half the season was through because of some nice sim performances - YOU shit the bed Helmut, deal with it!
Ricciardo had an absolute horrid minute long pitstop that dropped him four places during the safety car issue. It's completely unfair to scrutinize him for that situation because he got stuck behind a DRS-train he wasn't going to be in IF the pitstop went correctly. Marko is only doing this because he wants to remove people from Horner's sphere of influence.
He is the advisor for their junior program. Like it or not but Ricciardo is not performing in their junior team so Marko is 100% right this time. Just because you don't like him doesn't mean he is always wrong😂
If Sergio is finishing second or third at every race, Red Bull is fucking stupid to replace him - the only issue is Sergio probably wants to win the championship, so he may just abandon ship anyway
I would be interested to see what effect his probably 30 pound weight difference to Yuki has in qualifying. Not making that as an excuse, he does need to do better and put up the results but it would be interesting.
Honestly, this is just a bunch of media driven drama. The car is not fast! For both!!! Yes Yuki has made it work in quali and have out qualified for the first 2 races!!! A team Yuki has been with for quite a few years!!!! What a surprise!!! Lol Seriously though, if you look at the data, they have been similar pace throught the race, despite where they have started on the grid. This past race, DR struggled more with the car, but regardless, Yuki dropped down and they again finished in a similar place. I'm honestly in the boat that I rather quali worse and do better in the race, they need to improve the car. The car is the problem for both....
I am confuse about something : Marko giving a full analysis of 2 drivers not from his teams. I know obviously his role for RB family but, for a sport where each team is supposed to be independant, it is super weird to see marko talking as their direct boss
Felipe, come on, man, you need to let it go. Life is unfair sometimes. 2008 Singapore was not a good memory, but we missed the opportunity to do something about it. This tactic is about as useless as slavery reparations for modern day black people.
His missed his time, that’s just it. After those abismal years he had at mcclaren that people love to gloss over. It’s just time for him to let f1 go. He said he doesn’t want to do other motor sports but I think he’d do well in nascar. But there is so much more deserving people for redbull seats at the moment. A great personality isn’t everything in formula one.
The other reason is that the RB cash app cars suck! But Red Bull and Marko is the bain of their RB academy. Yuki is there becaue of Honda, DR shouldn't be there, he's washed up. And Liam Lawson got a seat denied to him. Dumb. Bad calls by Marko: DeVries, and bringing back Kvyat, and Hartley. And there's also Bourdais and Scott Speed.
