Came across this as I was looking for a couple of cover songs to do in my set, and this just kind of blew me away! So beautiful, I wish I had a voice like that!

Her name is Kay Berkel. She was with Daniel when he played my town a couple weeks ago, and she's got a hell of a voice. Her debut album was produced/co-written with Daniel as well, so if you like this video, check it out!
+trklsswndr I'm sure there's plenty of homegrown sincerity out there from the states, you just gotta know where to look. Daniel absolutely kills it, that's for sure. Check out Blanche from Detroit. I believe they're on hiatus at the moment but I caught them some 10 years ago and they played the most earnest set from any band I've seen in person. It was most definitely a magic moment.
+larrysdinner : I agree + know there is plenty of fine American/real-deal Country artists still here (vs. the 'MERICA-na - in your face type of crap). I'm so pissed at myself that Daniel slipped through town about a month ago here in M'Waukee - without me noticing - at a club that usually features good artists - however usually on the downslope of their careers... p.s. Christopher - Don't tell most Americans that Canada is "America". I agree that it is - but the red-blooded 'MERICANS don't see it that way (ie. supporting walls built along north & south borders)...
+trklsswndr You've obviously never been to the middle of Canada. Its not unlike the middle of America. The inspiration for a working man's song looks the same on either side of the border.
