It never mattered what she scored I always was one of the best gymnasts back then. To me she was one of few Romanian girls with great dance skills and a personality.
You would not believe it, but when I was a teen (and I am a guy) I was on vacation in my parents home country and I wanted curls so badly.... well... waves more likely. I asked and begged my mom and my aunt to allow me to have a perm.... (again - that was not standard for guys) When I came out of the pool I looked stunning.... this wet look, those dark brown eyes..... trained gymnastics body.... But when the hair dried I looked like a poodle. I was so glad, when my hair grew out enough to have a decent haircut. I never did that mistake again.... The next thing was having long hair..... but that's another story.... 🥰😎😂
I’m a guy too. At my high school in the 80s, we had about two years of the perm mullet as the haircut most guys had. We grew the back out long and then did a perm on the back. Our hair was straight in the front and top, but curly in the back. @@Boban1611
@@alexisalex702 Unlike other sports, you cannot take a vacation or holiday too long without training, especially for elite gymnasts. The window to be in their prime is so short so I can see why they are exhausted.
I came on here to say she looks utterly exhausted. Still great tumbling, but the spark isn’t there. I always wonder at the athletes who compete after the Olympics. (I know Silivas most likely didn’t have much of a say at the time. )
I actually don't think it was over scored. She had great skills for that time and her execution was great. Silivas was one of the best that the sport had to offer back then. She had no major errors and that was usually the main thing that they looked for back then. Minor errors were overlooked alot so, the few that she had in this set didn't cost her anything. The little that she did have to pay in deductions were probably just an add up of everything overall.
Anyone notice her dirty feet? Kinda unusual for a gymnast. They always keep there feet clean and chalked up. If you didn’t know I have a foot fetish and I’m not apologizing whatsoever.
I guess the floor in the gymnasium was not so clean. I am not talking about the floor mats on the podium, but the floor in general. I checked Aurelia Dobre's routine and her feet weren't so clean either... and your foot fetish doesn't hurt anyone. So it is totally fine with me. Be happy and enjoy life. 💚😏💚
Wasn't this one the one where the was a leak and massive condensation from the compressor on the AC unit or industrial fridge or something? It caused a lot of the carpet in the training gym to get wet.
In other videos from this competition you can see the carpet is very very dirty and stained so it’s likely the entire floor of the arena was extremely dirty
@@mrparts I judge gymnast on their feet and toes. If they don’t have good toe point like Simone Biles then you can be GOAT. I miss seeing gymnasts with gymnast shoes or half toe sock shoes like a ballerina on point. Especially on the beam. Just watch old videos of Nadia. There wasn’t all the pounding and power tumbling on a 4’ high apparatus. It was graceful and artistic.
