I'm always sad the tennis world doesn't appreciate him more, he's so nice and charming off court, answered every irrelevant questions with patience and good analysis
Daniil's press conferences are always so good. He's so nice and always gives deep analysis, you can tell he's really thinking about what he's going to say and not just dropping classic pre-made answers.
Good person, good tennis player, good family man, talks soo good about his wife and daughter, gentle and intelligent, just from how he approaches the press tell more about him, wishing Meddy all of the best throughout his career ❤❤😂
A great fight back by Meddy when things weren't looking rosy after the first set. It is evident that he is now reading grass courts well and will veritably place him in good stead in future battles ahead.
Daniil is a very smart guy. I've grown to appreciate him more & more. He has worked hard to become more personable. I admire & respect him & wish him more success.
Very agree with you this guy is the nicer guy on answering question at the ATP. A friend of mine that’s said to me that he doesn’t like him. I’ve said to him watch this guy in the interview; and he will absolutely love Medvedev
Love him on the tour, wish he would dare more to attack at the net, would save him some energies to play and win semiseria and finals against Alcaraz and Sinner.
Can anyone explain the physics/motion mechanics Medvedev talks about regarding how the serve slides? I understand slice and spin but don’t think that’s what he’s referring to. Thanks in advance!
I think he refers to the fact that grass makes the game surface slippery, this makes the ball move faster the bounce very unpredictable. Very opposite to the hard court, which is slower and you can predict trajectories better
@@mireafelder8194 You make a very serious and very trivial mistake. The years registered in the registry do not coincide with the years of tennis. Alcaraz has been playing tennis since the age of four, Sinner since ten or eleven (but at eight he had the opportunity to become junior giant slalom champion and those slalom moves make a difference in his tennis today too). Sinner is a natural born athlete. He could have excelled in more than one sporting discipline. It wasn't tennis that chose Sinner but Sinner who chose tennis. As for the talent, the magic of the shots, I would like to underline - en passant - that the best shots, in the most spectacular exchanges between the two, at the extreme of individual skills, were almost always won by Sinner. Finally, I'll give a spoiler to Medvedev (but I don't rule out the possibility that he might think the same thing): at the end of his career Sinner will be the one to have won the most Slams.
@@unicounici3772 What a bunch of non sense unbiased fanboy garbage lol... Every normal person knows Alcaraz is 10 steps above Sinner in everything and even 100 steps above Sinner in talent and magic... prob Carlos will be above Federer in magic, talent and execution in 2-3 years and even now he produces ridiculous shots that Federer only can dream about. Sinner on the other side is a one dimensional big hitter and servebot, nothing special besides he is a top one but nowhere close to Alcaraz special talent and magic.
Our Russian brother, smart, intelligent, an excellent player and above all, fantastic humane being. I wish you to be strong as bear (your surname) and win more championships.
he has answered, he said Alcaraz has great shots he has never seen.... but 'he is up and down', consistency is what will pay off in the long run and that's what Sinner has not Carlitos
Those who do not appreciate him just don’t like him plain and simple. He does explain pretty well and speaks fluently in English it’s just that there are people really have favourites and he is not especially how the crowd hated him sometimes. I like this guy against other big players who are arrogant already just because they are already high ranked paid highly. Any player when they become popular reached the top they become arrogant look at their opponents as they can just beat this opponent because she/he is of lower rank. Remember the US open when Osaka won against Serena? That tantrum was disgusting but not one tennis sports writer directly or even wrote in any newspaper why she behaved that way. I like Serena but sometimes she had showed an unacceptable behaviour and that US open was unforgettable.
I think Carlos will have more GS. Jannik will win more fast court 2 out of 3. But it comes down to health. Carlos has some injury prone due to his big style and Jannik seems to have stamina and illness issues. I think Carlos has more killer instinct and Jannik gets stressed out and it causes more bizarre illnesses. But Jannik can fix those things and he needs to.
I think he has answered the question already. Alcaraz has more talent but still lacks consistency, something he will probably achieve with experience and age. Sinner is more mature right now, but maybe doesn't show the same potential.
His first words reflect a lot of ego. He was in his lows and his opponent was in his highs and thats why it was a close match. So if he's in his top form, he'd destroy him in no time.
_How much longer Russian athletes will have to endure the stupid restriction imposed to them to compete under no flag, because of the stupidity of war implemented by Putin, Zelenski and his acolytes?_
He seems a nice guy before and after the games, but not during !!! He acts very arrogant with the opponent while he plays and also blames his coach and wife all the time when things go wrong. As a tennis fan, I respect him a lot. In fact, i think he could win the tournament ! There are 4 players that can win the tournament . I don't think Novak will be one of them because his knee. 1) Medvedev 2) Sinner 3) Zverev 4) Carlos .
