Danish ambassador to India, Freddy Svane, posted a short video clip on X (formerly Twitter) of trash lining up beside the embassy service lane. ‘This should be a service lane, but you see it’s full of trash’, he said.

i live in himachal and i have seen the difference between domestic and foreign tourists our state was clean and peaceful before herds of domestic tourists started coming in and now our rivers are dirty some of our roads are dirty and full of garbage, milk packets ,beer bottles ,plastic and a lot more and majority of these tourists are from Delhi Haryana UP and Punjab on the other hand a tourist group from Russia started a campaign in their own community in Manali to clean the local rivers and mountains , why cant Indians use dustbins and why do they have to drink alcohol and hooka near rivers, this is the water we drink

Because we were told since starting that cleaning and sweeping are jobs of lowercaste people/dalits. Higher caste one must stay away from it. Now people from lowe caste who have got enough money to call themselves rich r emulating behaviour of higher caste.

@@homosapien6414who told you all that ? Cleaning your own stuff or atleast using dustbin that has nothing to do with castes. What we do see in history before modern sewage system came, there were pits created for stools in farms, then as cities formed, box toilets were created and here organised work force was required for big cities and there we see caste coming in picture. But apart from this rest whole management of trash and cleaning is for each family and individual. Now in past 75 years and more recently 40 years cities have expanded way too much and municipality needs to keep cities clean but individual human also needs to stop throwing trash outside on roads.

Delhi is performing way better than other Tier 1 cities of India New Delhi is the only Megacity in India's Top 10 Cleanest city. Infrastructure of New Delhi is 1000 times better than other Indian cities , that's why it has been chosen as the Capital And Delhi still has better traffic sense when compared to other Tier 1 cities of India 😂 (Bengaluru Mumbai & Kolkata are among the World's most traffic congested cities) If you're calling New Delhi a village, then other cities of India must be a Jungle for you 😂

No, not by a country mile. End of the day foreigners like us care about that, and that’s the thing that will attract foreigners to visit a country. Cleanliness and personal security are extremely important. That’s also the reason why foreigners are gradually more aware of the dangers of India recently following the infamous rap e of the blogger in front of her husband by a group of 7 Indians. Instead of branded as a historical and exotic country.

The areas ‘not very clean’ in Danish standards is very very clean in Indian standards. It goes a long way to educate the masses. They have moved on from do not litter to pick up litter. Whereas, India must start from do not litter for the masses.

@@vennsim71 Lol. That's just complete and utter BS on defining standards of cleanliness seen multiple places which are worse of than India. Now coming to educating masses, India does a far better job of educating it's masses than a lot of other countries do , the difference here is with Sensibilities (that definitely needs to be improved) and dealing with a huge population. State and Central govt don't reduce the social credit of an Individual unlike how CCP handles it . I do understand you can't use the carrot and stick approach in all situations and I do also understand there are much better of ways of dealing with this situation.
