No like Greenland they are citizens of Denmark but they are self governed, except for military and foreign policy, but they have 2 members both in our parliament so they can effect the military and foreign policies though that way, they are both very small populations and can never really be sovereign nations, they would have to be in a similar corporation with a larger state no matter what, 53.000 and 56.000 Greenland, that is not enough to have higher education system, hospitals, prisons for the most dangerous people, military, or a diplomatic system, Greenland is in the toughest spot, it is 22 times bigger than Denmark 😳 50% of the government budget is payed for by Denmark, there are only supplies by one route from Denmark or aircraft no roads between the cities, everything is expensive because of the transport costs and no competition between companies, monopoly like 💸, and they understandingly love their nature, so they have been hesitant about mining, they have to make a choice between being broke or start digging and, o let companies start digging because there economy is really bad and unemployment high, never an easy choice, but it’s so large that they should just make zones around the cities where the environment is protected in my opinion and start mining also after the Uranium, France needs a stable supply, Japan and South Korea to, not for nuclear weapons but electricity, so I can’t see the moral dilemma, and they could earn even more on rare earth mining used in most modern technology, and much much more ready for mining, and far away from warlords and religious extremism only polar bears and wolves. The Faroe Islands have the population size but else they are doing very well, but they in a very small area compared with Greenland and the weather is much warmer there, but the winds can be brutal, they have the economy just not the numbers that are necessary for a independent state, unless they have agreements still on education in Denmark or other countries, now they are educated in Denmark for. Call him college university, profession, school. University city’s don’t have 53.000 inhabitants which no other source of population to fill the gap in theaters and students. But nice people know several from both islands, even studied with a bricklayer apprentice for 1 years in all and was neighbors in students houses 🤷‍♂️ don’t remember the name, but there are no brick houses on Greenland so he had never tried it before on his first day 😮 concrete foundation wooden houses, some concrete buildings, and bathrooms, was the only thing he had ever done before, but he was not given the same demands from the teachers, no sense on being after him with his bricklayer skills when they never used them, both country are good at fishing, Greenland shrimps 😀

I think it's a vestige of British colonialism and that by inheritance they should be Argentine. However, the locals have lived there for many generations, it's your home, and Argentina has many more important things to take care of now. Perhaps in the future when Argentina improves you could be offered an option to voluntarily join Argentina and continue having dual citizenship with the British

If we look at culture and dialects the old division still holds true - I don't have much in common with people from Fyn or Sønderjylland even if we're in the same region, but I do have a lot in common with people from the old Ribe Amt. So even though you are right - the video isn't wrong.

Yeah the Regions are just there to run the hospitals. They have nothing to do with culture or history.

Ever been there? Danish here I grew up there, in the southern of Greenland. Spend 6 years later in Nuuk 2 completely different places.
