I had a lovely week of shopping, bowling, going on walks and being with my niece.
We also recently celebrated the holiday "fastelavn" here in Denmark. It's a historic holiday marking the approaching easter. Traditionally it was held as a day of celebrating and indulging, before the catholic period of fasting leading up to easter. Us danes love our "fastelavn buns", which are also a treat to enjoy on the day, and in the period of fastelavn in general. Today, the day is celebrated by school and kindergarten/nursery age children who dress up and strike a wooden barrel piñata style, and get the sweets and treats that are inside.
It is slowly beginning to feel more spring-like here, and I am LOVING the sunny days, which, even though they are cold, are ideal for going on walks in my eyes :-)
Stay tuned for a Copenhagen video coming soon, and lots more!
