This was the one Dannii song I remember hearing and loving as a kid. It was only when I became obsessed with Neon Nights a few years later that I tracked down a copy of Girl and my love for Everything I Wanted was reignited. It then took me a few years after that for me to get the CD single with this version on it which is just perfection.

Her sound is definitely an inspiration for the music that I create. Most of the new dance tracks that come out are not that great. She's got a super fine catalogue of great songs.

AT LONG LAST ! ! I've been trying to find out for the past 1/4 century (since turn of '97) who this is by ! Never would've guessed it was by old Dannii ! 1st time hearing it in 1/4 century; thank you 'Guinness British Hit Singles' (book) for the info ! Seriously, this is a perfect example of the VERY SMALL minority of late-90's pop music (opp. to early-90's, when culture - & life - was great) which is GENUINELY GOOD; most of it back then was all Spice Slags/Steps/Vengaboys, Oasis/Britpop, Ibiza and other cheap, low, vulgar shite ! I guess it was inevitable that this 'jewel among the shit' was by an early-90's star like Dannii. I love the tender blend of 'liquid D'n'B' rhythm, chime melody and a quite intense, poignant expression. IF ONLY ALL LATE-90'S POP HAD BEEN AS GOOD AS THIS ! Perhaps the Ozzies were not affected by the lowest-of-the-low 'lad/ladette' abyss that plagued the youth of Britain back then !

This is an example of why musically I prefer Dannii to Kylie.
