Just stunning. My dad and I would sit on the deck in the summer overlooking the water and drink scotch and belt out this song when we were reminiscing about friends and family gone too soon. When he passed and his ashes were spread I sang it alone. I always tear up when I hear it but this rendition made me cry. Tears of grief, happiness at a memory, release from so much stress that the world is in right now from the pandemic, that America is in from D.C., from the hate that holds the country, tears of joy from the pure beauty of their voices. I buried my father 12 years ago, this song was one of this favorites. He had been a sailor from age 17 back in 1956 all the way up to when he reached the age of 50. He was a very reserved man but the only time i caught him singing was when Danny Boy was playing on the radio. Seeing tears in his eyes i knew it held a very special place in his heart, now i also tear up whenever i hear this very special song. We will see each other again ❤
