They just finished 6th (5 points from CHL) and now got Nkunku and Lavia back who looks great in Preseason. Also got proven PL players like Neto and Tosin in, and probably will add another 1-2 good players. Maresca actually seems like the type of coach this young team NEEDS. A No-BS coach with a very clear playing style, which has the potential to work great with this team. I think a lot of these pundits are too caught up in there feelings when it comes to Chelsea.
@@Brainly-Brian Your name should be Brainless-Brian. The actual first team senior players in the squad is 22 and not 40. If you keep listening to these propagandas without doing your own research then you are worst than these pundits.
Chelsea have been playing against league Champions in pre season and conceding goals with a new manager and system but getting better every single game and now you think they are going to struggle this season. I wouldn't be surprised if Chelsea finished 2nd or 3rd.
he's confusing Enzo Maresca (a manager they probably shouldn't have paid so much money for) with Enzo Fernandez (a player they definitely shouldn't have paid so much money for)
Darren Lewis says he’s Experienced enough 😂😂. Experienced and talking total rubbish. 2 Liverpool fans slagging off Chelsea what a shock. Biased unprofessional punditry.
As a Chelsea fan I must agree with them, we have too many players but the main thing is defensively we need to improve massively, have we the players to shut up shop or the manager to create that ? Attacking wise we have firepower to cause problems to opposition .
People are forgetting very easily how awful Poch had the team playing last season until the last 7 games, those 7 games being the period where players stepped up so they could make their national sides for the Euros and Copa America, if Palmer didnt step up we wouldve finished 12th last season
Brotha stop making excuses for this Championship level gaffer that’s at Chelsea, Pochettino is way clear of that Bum Maresca and least Chelsea had a proper style of play and a vision under Poch last season.
there's an odd revisionist opinion that Pochettino had finally cracked it at Chelsea and they were supposedly brilliant for SIX games. They won some games at the end of the season against opponents that were already safe and not putting in 100 percent. It wasn't that long ago they needed wins AT HOME against sheff utd and Burnley and they bollocksed up both results and looked second best against teams clearly getting relegated. Pochettino, a manager who famously wins you nothing, really isn't the massive loss to chelsea that these gonks seem to think he will be
@@stephenmassaquoi2814 Only style of play i saw last season was defend within and inch of our lifes and hope Palmer pulls goals out of thin air, then make random weird subs for the last 20 mins that kill our attack dead. Not saying Maresca is the answer but Poch was never getting us champions league this year
Gallagher is also not the player Chelsea need if they ever want to be where they want to be (challenging for the league). He's at best a top four player. It's essential to sell any homegrown players if they're refusing to sign a new deal with only a year left on their deal
If I supported Chelsea, I wouldn't be attacking everyone pointing out the problems with my club, I'd be too busy worrying about all the problems at my club.
@@Fractalchemystical If Chelsea manage to finish 6th again, that would be an AMAZING result for next season. Since, that would mean their new manager matched a much more experienced Pochettino, who even he struggled for most of last season. Realistically, Chelsea should expect to finish around 10th. Anything more, would be a bonus for that shambles of a club.
@@Fractalchemystical lower tier! But its irrelevant. A man who's never played the game can have an opinion..just like messi can. Messi also joined the chant enzo was in.. wheres is the ridicule for the greatest ever ? Thin lines
@@JamieDraycott-id4jh, this is completely inaccurate. Messi was NOT on the bus at the time. He and a number of players were not on that bus. It was widely reported too.
Thank God the Chelsea owners aren’t PESSIMISTIC as these guys. They said Chelsea did not stand a chance against City in the Champions league final and when we won they said Pep played the wrong team. I WOULD LUV IT IF WE BEAT CITY ON SATURDAY. Luv it!!!
Fact is these guys here are not trying to destroy chelsea or talk bad, they are making valid points and asking great questions about our team... we are truly a mess...
@@ojshaw7671you think so ?? Think about how many more players they will buy from now till then and how many players they have now that will want to leave ?? It’s a downhill game Boehly is playing
@@ojshaw7671 How so? When you don't even let your current crop of young players settle in. Madueke is about to be sold in favour of Felix? Would be good if Felix was miles better than Madueke, but that;s not the case. There is a reason Atletico has been trying to offload him for two years now.
I want the community and the employers to hold these pundits accountable for their comments at the end of the season. They can just waffle whatever they want and get away with it.
It was midfield building last year. It is attacking build this year and a defensive build next season to compete in Europe. We shall be fine soon in spite of the your opinions
They're just telling the truth and you're in denial if you can't see the mess your club is in. If I was you, I'd be furious with the club owners, not some pundits.
I wonder what these so called pundits will say when Chelsea start winning again. In the last 10 years Chelsea still have more or the same league and european trophies as Liverpool, United, Arsenal etc... yet we're the ones in crisis. OK
The last 10 years is irrelevant to where Chelsea are now. Pundits are blinded by hate towards Chelsea and most of them just think they'll fail because they want them to but don't list any actual reasons why.
Reality is Chelsea are not in crisis so much as they've just been dragged back down to the level they were pre Abramovich. Clearlake have been a disaster in all seriousness.
They're still talking about the Enzo Fernandez situation being brushed under the carpet while at the same time failing to mention all the other players who were singing that song. THAT is what brushing something under the carpet looks like.
I was not looking forward to last season and despite a late surge we were not convincing. This was going to be the same especially as we lost Thiago which we needed to whip the defence into shape. However I have changed my mind and Nkunku looking very good and the other players fit for this year I think we may do better than expected. Still feel Levi and Fofana are not upto speed yet. Disasi and Badeshile look very fragile so the defence is iffy but we will have James back after his ban and Chilwell is fit. Cucurella sems to be recharged and Cole is going to at it from day one. The other new players look promising. I have not writing off the manager yet need to judge after a few matches. As we have a banana skin first match it will be interesting to see. Not negative like last year .
We'll be keeping these receipts and call out clowns like Murphy when the season ends! Chelsea moved on 18 players last summer and theres still plenty of time for outgoings too. The only season we had a bloated squad was in 21/22 after the chwnge of ownership. Somehow these so called "pundits" believe we have a bloated squad every season when many of the players are loan returnees and academy players.
not sure why Howard from the Halifax adverts is being asked his opinions on Chelsea's chances this season but maybe someone should tell him that their manager isn't called "Fernandez", despite him saying it twice
@@jayksesay1954 trust? In people? No. Only the Lord is worthy of trust mate. I have stood by and supported my club through everything that a club can go through, the highs and the lows. And it’s the lows that is older people went through that galvanises us to never want to see such a lack of standards return. Now yes you can call it “being in denial of the new ownership” “not wanting to withstand a total restructuring” whatever you want but the fact remains, I will not just sit down with me eyes closed and my fingers in my ears and sing lalalalala I’m not listening…. Like all you lot seem to be doing. Na mate, this is Chelsea, for the past twenty years we built a reputation of being one of the greats in this country and in Europe. To just watch all that slip away cause a bunch of investment bankers haven’t a damn clue what they’re doing is not something I will accept lightly.
You Arey correct just because you ate old and have been supporting for 40yrs. All you boomers just stop mentioning how long you been supporting the club. All that means is you are old and nothing more.
The fact Neto is Chelsea 35th permanent singing THIS YEAR is INSANE. To put it into context other PL clubs 35th signings ago is players from 2018/2017 seasons 🤣 🤣 🤣
If this had happened to any other club Chelsea fans would be laughing... as a Newcastle fan of 28 years I can only say how lucky we are that our take over has gone as well as it has, theyve kept the identity of the club and worked with the players and fans to get us to a point that we could challenge and havent broke the bank due to ffp... imagine if the saudis took over, got rid of Eddie, sold our acadamy players finised way below par in the table. We would all be saying the same... Chelsea aren't exempt from the criticism any other team would get... saying that, i dont want to see anything happen at Chelsea, they are a staple of the premier league, hope it all gets resolved soon.
It really doesn`t matter where Chelsea Football Club finish this season, every Chelsea fan around the World should seriously be concerned about the present owners, and the signs are that the club is more likely heading for bankruptcy in the very near future, as opposed to being in the Champions League ever again.
Pundits who don't watch full games but read editorials or watch highlights talking subjective guff just to fill the airtime. You can't possibly do the legwork to give an accurate and objective view. Still love the show.
This Murphy guy tries to look at Chelsea as a team through the lens of his career as a professional footballer. What did he win or achieve to be saying those things about Chelsea? How does he rate himself as a footballer? The Gallagher thing is quite buffling. Here is a player who got a lot of playing time because regular players were injured for a long time. Before the start of last season there was much talk about selling him and supporters in the stadium were calling for his head because of his lack of technical ability. So with all these players back, we're will he be? The very pundits criticising Chelsea for giving some players long term contracts are now asking for longterm deal for Gallagher, where is the consistency? Danny Murphy, comeback to this issue at the end of the season and you will have an opportunity to retract your substandard punditry. 😂😂😂😂😂 Joker!
People keep talking about Chelsea transfer strategy but are not understanding why. The new owner self told on themselves because when they took over and went the book they saw that Abramavich did a lot shady deals before so the immediately told the EPL this is what they saw. They can face a transfer band for couple seasons that why the stockpiling on youths at the moment. They are preparing for the storm
I can't see them competing for top 4 this year. However, they'll probably be in competition to remain in Europe again. Honestly though, regardless of the premier league, I think they should put as much focus as they can into the conference league. If they really are trying to do the whole 'rebuild with young players' thing, then they should focus on getting them as much experience in European competition as possible. Build their confidence, hopefully get them a trophy, even if it is the conference league, it will go massively towards them building cohesion as a team. Plus, if they do win, they guarantee a European place next season anyway.
There will be abosolutely no one angry at Chelsea because Chelsea want all the players to be playing and are resolute about it. If anyone remains at Chelsea and does not play, then it is their own decision but I doubt they will be anyone like that allowed close to the first team.
I love it how none of them can see the bigger picture and past this season, they're building a great squad for the future. Also there will be plenty of players sold before the end of the window so the squad size won't be the same as it is now.
It amazing to see how modern soccer fans and pundits alike can be so blind and quickly jump to conclusions. Oh, Chelsea Wil finish 8th, 10th, whatever comes to their mind. It has become fashionable and probably entertaining to just slate chelsea these.
Hey, did you hear? The word gullible has been removed from the dictionary! Can you believe that? Anyway, on another note. I've got a seafront property in Coventry you might be interested in, going for a good price mate. Let me know if you're interested.
The size of the squad is indeed quite large, and while it's obvious that some players will leave, I don't think we'll end up with a squad of just 25 players by the end of the transfer window. Honestly, I see Chelsea having at least 30 players, so it will remain a very large squad, which is not ideal. Another important point is that the Chelsea board has been the worst thing that has happened to the team. It is very evident that Chelsea will never generate revenue from player sales; rather, it will incur losses. As mentioned, some players might be sold, but overall it will be a loss. There is a need to build a team with a mix of youth and experience and to be patient to return to the golden days.
Eight is being kind, i say 10-12th as I expect Chelsea’s perennial injury woes will ruin the Maresca experiment. The inexperience Italian will need a few years to adapt to top flight football as a head coach.
Totally agree with what's been said. Anyone else thinking we're getting close to 4th place and higher is in cloud cuckoo land. And they've forgotten how bad it got in the 2022-23 season when Clearlake took over... like kids in a sweetshop. Poch was absolutely underrated and uneccessarily vilified for actually steadying a sinking ship. Disrespectful what the new owners and directors have done to the club - let's see what happens this season...
@@paulp1372 Remind me what Poch ever won. Three domestic trophies with the most expensive side in France and you think he's underrated? He's all vibes, no plan. Glad to see the back of him.
I’m a Chelsea fan and I agree with Danny completely about the scoring loads then the next game just letting 5 in and looking lost it’s the same old story again.
I have not heard any new perspectives regarding Chelsea. Everyone is negative and I wonder how all of these people failed to understand that the owner is not stupid and should you. Time to time how he out smarted the transfer market
"There are a lot of talented individual players at the football club." You just shot yourself on the foot. Now you must proof that Arteta is better than Enzo Maresca
These pundits knows everything better then every manager - doesnt matter which team they are talking about ... when they are so good, why are you not the manager of a team like CFC ??
