The Black was the album that got me into AA and the one I've listened to the most, but I also enjoy from Death to Destiny and their other albums. But I think similar to how Oli Sykes went from metalcore to alternative, is also why Danny went from metalcore to country or whatever he is doing now. Back in 2009 Danny seemed fucking awesome, but Denis also revealed the darker side of AA. IDK I like both of them but I've listened to Denis the most.

Stand up and scream as it was originally recorded had the best vocals I can remember hearing currently. Neither artist can duplicate the vocals on that record, in my opinion. Danny fucked up his vocal chords too much so he'll never sound like that again and Denis is good, but just not the same as the original record. It's all highly subjective though. Stand up and Scream is still their best record, and maybe one of my top all time records.

I prefer Danny’s vocals in both singing and screaming. His voice just sounds better to me. However, Denis is a better vocal influence for me, as his range and vocal clarity are very similar to mine.

They both are very talented. IMO I like early Danny voice but he’s dealt very nicely with his voice giving in on him. And have always been a fan of denis he’s got a unique sound to him I don’t really kno how one could be better they bring very different skills to the table

I think we can all agree 2009-2013 Danny > Denis > Danny now edit: not to say Danny is bad necessarily, "Into The Fire" was a pretty dope track, but if you want metal screaming then Denis beats new Danny (unless he's willing to scream nowadays, but idk)

Stand Up And Scream was my favorite. I didn't really care for the rest much honestly. is it there best work? no. does it have to be your favorite? no. I downloaded a Demo from a band I'd never heard of (asking alexandria) from Limewire back in late 2008 or early 2009. What I heard blew me away, and would later become Stand Up And Scream.

Everyone's talking shit about Danny for "not screaming and singing the words instead", are people for forgetting he completely shredded his vocals chords? I'm surprised he screams at all now and is still amazing at it! Also everyone always complains about how Danny changed his whole appearcence but everyone in the band changed? James doesn't have long hair, his stretched ears are sewn up . People change and you've gotta accept it. I don't think Dennis was a good fit cause the band was going one way with a sound from FDTD then he kind of reset it with 'the black '. They need to develop and evolve a sound otherwise they'll die out because they'll just sound the same. The evolution of the album's with Danny have been amazing , his solo stuff might not be for everyone but you have to still appreciate it and 'we are harlot' is similar to Asking with a more of a hard rock approach so I don't get why people dislike it so much. People just seem to dislike Danny because he doesn't wear black skinny jeans and extra small band t-shirts anymore. That was never always gonna be his thing. He always said he liked bands around hair metal and 80-90's rock and metal. He's trying to bring it back and reform it in a new way and I think it works.

Yes Denis is a beast! powerful vocals and stands out in his own way but, I have to give it to Danny because of him I began to listen to AA. Danny is why I'm such a huge fan. Nothing beats the original.

I love both voices. It's unbelievable how Danny sounded awesome in a live concert with low quality sound, that's how incredible he was in his prime. I think Denis is more charismatic than Danny. Thanks for sharing bro, this is wonderful. Thumbs up.

denis only ever sounds good with auto tune, all the youtube covers from back in the day were heavily reliant on it and in every live performance with aa he sounded horrible. danny obviously has had some bad shows but there’s a good amount of solid performances from him
