"those of us who bear the blood, chaplain Ordamael, summon the amaraien guard, open the gates to the tower of Amareo. let the damned march, with the damned" chills
@@romanplays1mephiston and rafen have both recovered from the black rage, mephiston has done it twice now. Blood Angel's Omnibus depicts the second time.
@@Rageaholic2213 to be fair. i didnt know about rafen. as for the 2nd time. mephiston caught it while he was stuck under a bunch of rubble. letting him cope. seethe and mald as furiously as a star without being able to do anything till he calmed down
Dante also stood face to face with The Lion and held his ground while the Lion was *righteously pissed* at someone daring to "wear" his brother's face on the death mask helmet (before making the Lion aware that it was a tribute, in an oddly wholesome moment for both of them). Even most Astartes tremble when a primarch gets angry, but Dante didn't flinch. He does his fathers proud.
Lol lol I was super bored last week and watched the Directors cut of Return of the King 😂😅 it was soo much better than the theatrical version. What was up with the mouth of Sauron character tho? Never got his purpose.
@@jrr7031 one theory is that the mouth of Sauron is a black numenorean. Basically a person with physical attributes like Aragorn, but evil. Sauron is not known to handle things directly and rarely reveals himself, normally working through minions. Thus, the mouth stands and speaks on Sauron’s behalf.
@albreezy oh. Well that makes sense!! He would use minions and at his front door shouldnt have surprised me. I haven't read the books but I did do like a "deep dive" on youtube about places and people of Middle earth, like cirith ungol, numenorians, the undying lands, etc. Dope shit. Good universe, the names tho.....ughh!! Trying to say them! Lmfao 🤮
IIRC, him doing so actually helped the Blood Angels somewhat, as the Khornate demons and the Tyranids killed each others on the moon Baal Prime while the Knights of Blood (a Renegade Blood Angels Successor Chapter temporarily tolerated to defend Baal) sacrificed themselves to give time for the rest of the Flesh Tearers to retreat. There was already nothing left on Baal Prime, this provided a distraction to the Nids while the rest of the ex-Legion fought almost to the lasts on Baal, perhaps this was what tipped the balance in the end, or at least make it possible for enough Chapters to still survive with enough battle-brothers when Gulliman came in extremis to kill the Hive Fleet, and allow these Chapters to be reinforced by the Primaris and keep their traditions, instead of just forming new Primaris-only chapters (well, he still had to do so, but not too much). All at the cost of an already doomed moon (which will be terraformed anyways in the aftermath) and a Chapter of unwilling Renegade who got a glorious death, on their terms (they were horribly mutated and basically all Death Company already, but were still loyal to the Emperor and Sanguinius), against their most hated foes, to make it possible for their brothers the Flesh Tearers to retreat from the moon... Like, that's a good deal in my book.
@@raznaakyep, and what a glorious sacrifice it was for the Knights. Sentor Jool even got his time to shine, with one good big finger to Khorne. It was amazing.
*_If we are to be devoured by this unholy leviathan, then by our bolters and swords, we will ensure that it cannot do so without choking on its own blood._*
Im just imagining Gulliman landing on bal to bare witness to thousands of blood angels who have fallen to the red thirst massacring an entire Hive fleet 😂
It'd be the second time he saw all of Sanguinius surviving sons falling to the black rage. When Sanguinius died the whole Blood Angels Legion fell to the Black Rage, not even their most level headed commander Raldoron was spared of the curse. And G-Man pretty much arrived when he saw them bringing out their savagery.
Termagaunt: "KrrrrrAAAAAAAAGH!" Blood Angel: "YOU CANNOT FOOL ME WITH INSECT NOISES HORUS! I SEE THROUGH YOUR CHITENOUS DISGUISE! HORUS! I SHALL RIP OUT YOUR HERETICAL HEART FOR YOUR BETRAYAL HORUS! TRAITOROUS WARMASTER HORUS! THERE WILL BE NO FORGIVENESS FOR YOU'RE......." Termagaunt: "....Krrrragh?"
Let's not forget that a greater demon is Khorne was actually the Savior of the chapter because he wanted to be the one who ended the sons of sanguinius.
I mean, can you imagine how embarrassing it would be to spend 10,000 years trying (and failing) to wipe out a group, just to see a bunch of hungry locusts show up and take them out? He'd never hear the end of it.
*Narrator:* _"As Abbadon tears the most important outpost of the Imperium of Man, it was already over for the sons of The Angel and their homeworld... BUT LOOK! IT'S KA'BANDA WITH A DAEMON-ENGINE CHAIR!"_
@@barbatosmcmurderton4209as the Ironwarriors. They’ve experienced it first hand, when a random slightly more organized Ork waaagh wiped out the Imperial Fists.
"We are all Death Company now" sounds badass when anyone says it to anyone else. For DANTE to say that to a group of Blood Angels and their brother chapters is massively relevant. Every man there knows exactly what that means in this context. "We are all going to die, and we are all going to die fighting like the warriors we are" I think the best way someone in the comments put it was "fuck it, we BAAL"
It isn't so much the hammer that lies in your hand, but the hammer that lives in your heart. Stand proud brothers, this truly is the Warhammer 40,000: Devestation of Baal.
I half expected the speech to be described like "And then Dante stood upon the ruins and gave a speech of such charisma and magnitude that it steeled the hearts of all the defenders, and would be remembered by the Imperium forever!" and then the actual speech was never written.
Dante was prepared to die. He gave a speech that made his men immune to all damage and killed everyone. Dante still lives. Dante: WHY WON'T YOU LET ME DIE!!
Lamenters, cruor blades, and atlantean spears would remain. The spears can choke on it though. As far as im aware theyre the only chapter that outright refused dante's call for help.
"Let those who walk unto the sanctity of mans temple with hatred and scorn be warned: we are the angels of death, and we shall not fall ALONE." Jormungandr, MC of the book im currently working on.
Idc what anyone says this shit right here is why the Blood angels are one my favorites legit looked at the never-ending tide of death coming at them and went “Well……this is it……no point in holding back anymore…” Idk what’s more terrifying in context A Tyranid swarm or a 1000 blood angels in the throes of the Black rage
Angels Excelsis, Knights of Blood, Burning Blood, Brothers of Jarad, Angels Glorious, and 3 other unnamed Chapters were destroyed. Golden Sons, Scions of Sanguinius, and 4 more Chapters reduced to non-combat status. As well as 5 Chapter Masters died. The sons of Sanguinius paid a terrible toll trying to save Baal
I've never been able to figure out what Sanguinius is holding in the image where he's on his knees, (not the sword obviously, the little pink thing in his right hand)
Some people speculated it was a regicide(40K Chess) piece. Since he may have remembered Horus' words if they did finish the great crusade without any problem they'd have time to catch up as brothers and play some regicide.
In space Marine 2 im going to make a deathwatch Lamenter. Did he get inducted for sheer skill in killing xenos or is it just unlucky chances he's there? Who knows thats the fun. Also my friends can blame me for missions going poorly or disconnecting from the game simply because im there with my "shit luck" All this assuming there is a Lamenters insignia.
ok lets get this straight off the bat, i like the blood angels. 4th fav. (Dark Angels, Salamanders, Ultramarine, then BA for the record) of the space marines, but it seems like every fight they are almost entirely wiped out. my suspension of disbelief can only go so far when, by the sound of things, it should just be Dante, 20 other marines, and Bill the friendly janitor who comes in on tuesdays are all that should be left.
Yeah, that’s why Roboute put respect on his name. Sure Roboute was like how tf is this dude still alive? If Sanguinius was that good at staying alive we wouldn’t be in this mess. Dante’s like; “bruh I’ve tried to die hundreds of times I literally can’t. Wish I was more like my primarch in that regard. I’m sure if I’m ever critical they’ll just throw my half living body into a dreadnought to my pleas not to. I want to go fight demons in the immaterium with my dad and grandad.”
And whats the bet their decimated numbers isnt ever a problem in the future. Realistically, it should take them decades to recover their numbers, and centuries to get their experience back. Going to 90% new recruits is gonna TANK their effectiveness
Someone algo think that the best possible end of this arch would have been the epic death of this legion. From a narrative point of view, it would have be a pacefull rest of all this death angels.
The atlantean spears refused to help. There was one other chapter whose chapter master declined but a few companies went awol and showed up anyway. I forget what chapter but they were the guys who showed up during the banquet before the battle. The cruor blades showed up late and didnt make it until the battle was over. So there were at least 3 1/2 chapters that didnt show
Kabandah showed up and so did Saiugnor too it was a great battle with Dante killing the Swarmlord Seeing his father than his uncle Guilimen with only what 500-1000 blood angels left and other uncle Lion soon after getting Primaris brothers and Crossing the rubicon
if I'm not mistaken Cawl has a stock of every Chapter's geneseed for research purposes, but I'm sure it would act as a sort of Ark if something went wrong
