Torian the animator (the guy whose been doing the 3D animations for DB since Deadpool vs. Deathstroke I believe) doesn't model the animations from scratch, he grabs the character models from the games themselves. That's why it looks like the character because it really is their official game skin.

Eric you were probably just overwhelmed not knowing either character much but if you played the games you'd appreciate it a lot more. The falling clock is a stage in Bayonetta. It was a treat seeing it here as well as all their skills and weapons.

sorry read that wrong but when against raiden dante still would've won. granted raiden has higher sensory capability but dantes reaction speed, power, regen technique and everything else still tops out. granted raidens Jack the ripper state enhances everything but dante still takes the cake. DT alone with only rebellion would win that fight not even including dantes majin form, essentially making him invulnerable to absolutely everything while making him a nuke to everything. the only one able to beat him is his brother virgil and that's only with his judgment cut final end because thats a big fuck you to absolutely everything

Well yeah, but Death Battle most often uses characters in their prime. And by the same token, if it was DMC 5 Dante it wouldn't even be a god damned fight. Dante's new weapons plus his Sin Trigger form, with such attacks like Demolition, Luce, and Judgement, would drop Bayonetta instantly. Like they said, her speciality is in avoidance, and neither Demolition or Luce are easy to avoid in the slightest, and Judgement is just straight up unavoidable without the ability to become intangible. The Sin Trigger put Dante in yet another league above Bayonetta, so they'd have to find him a whole new opponent. Personally, I would be down to see him fight a decent anime character like one of the Homunculi from FMA, Alucard from Hellsing Ultimate(or Castlevania I suppose, not picky), or maybe even one of the Horsemen from Darksiders. Basically, someone who can not just avoid, but also actually trade damage with him until they can try to overtax his healing abilities. Personally I think Alucard from Hellsing Ultimate would be an awesome fight, since both are the apex hunters of what could be considered their own kind, and neither are easily harmed.

I know I sound like a gatekeeping fan here, but it's kinda frustrating how in-the-dark these guys were about the characters. I mean, Bayonetta is a newer heroine, so I get unfamiliarity with her, even though she's been around for almost ten years now, but Dante? His series has been around for almost double that time. I dunno. No hate, it's just weird.
20:23 (when Trish appears) you may have noticed the GODLY MUSIC. That would Find You from the game Anarchy Reigns, which has IMO the best ost ever. And Death Battle for a while now has been using its music in its fights. At least as far back as Sam vs Snake. Find You is not only the best song in the game, it's one of the greatest vg songs of all time, and is fittingly the final boss theme.
Willy et scientia Bayonetta is way more powerful but that doesn't mean she can beat Dante 1v1. If that sounds confusing, just think of how in Pokemon how some Types are resistant and super effective to others.
Well they did leave out one thing. Her Lolipops. Those make her heal. They also forgot to mention the fact that she doesn't indeed have good endurance. She survived a fall from Pluto to Earth.
To answer your question about what determines when they do a 2D or a 3D battle, it's basically just a rotation. I'm not sure what determines which specific battles they choose to do for each style, but every 3D battle gets followed up with at least one 2D battle to give them more time to work on the next big 3D battle.
Dante always will have the larger fanbase which is a shame because bayonetta is such a cool character. And because bayonetta 2 is an exclusive to the wiiu many fans are pissed or will most likely not have the chance to play it. So you see.. Bayonetta lost before the battle even started
While I do agree that Dante could beat her 1 on 1 if you consider their current strengths, I believe it's an unfair battle. Dante has had many more games to grow his strength, but Bayonetta has only had 2, and she could still give him a major run for his money. Considering the growth rate of each of their respective powers, I'd be willing to bet Bayonetta would surpass him given enough games/time

Matheus Mazza Bayonettas human nature was held against her, as if Dante as a half human/demon hybrid made him superior and his title of demon slayer gave him an advantage. Well Bayonetta may be a pure breed human, its true, but she is so powerful that she can slaughter Angels, demons and their respective deities. So she is capable of killing a half breed and not only is she an angels slayer, but a demon slayer and a god slayer, she can kill a half breed. Bayonetta is superior to Dante in every way, and that cant be debated. Strength: Bayonetta rips her enemies to pieces with her bare hands, human size to giants. Ive never seen Dante throw a punch and only ever force open the jaws of one big monster. Her attacks would utterly pulverize Dante. Speed: Witch time equals light speed, this is true because it counters Lumen sage's own light speed movements (Light speed notation: bayonetta.wikia.com/wiki/Light….) Quicksilver may counter that, but it would not last. This is because Dantes high end abilities (Devil trigger, magic, high level weapon tech) draw from the same energy pool. Using all of these abilities at once or back to back would drain it within seconds, Ive done this during gameplay. And since witch time lasts as long as she wants and when she wants, Bayonetta would easily out pace him. Hitting 108,000 rain drops is impressive, but light is faster, she actually has the same feat and better. Given that witch time is active during the most intense fights, against Auditito for example, she counters their own light speed and she can still double up within the first layer of Witch time. So that means she has actually gone double light speed. Agility: Bayonetta moves with real grace; flips, rolls etc. Dante moves like a brick. Nuff said Durability: Bayonetta is no more a glass cannon than Tifa is. So what if she said 'Owie' when she was stabbed, that's a durability low-end example when she was weak. This is trumped easily be the durability/strength feat of head butting a skyscraper (365,000 tons) with no sign of discomfort....which is further trumped by surviving burning re-entry into earths atmosphere. Regeneration: Bayonetta has this ability too, that's why she has no scar on her chest from the stab wound. Furthermore regeneration, even fast regeneration can be beaten in two ways. 1. Attack rate: hit so many times the regen factor cant keep up. 2. Attack power: Hit so hard that there is nothing to regenerate from. Bayonetta can do both so, Dante would be helpless as soon as his DT supply ran out. If Deadpool cant survive being smashed to pieces by She-hulk, then neither can Dante. This is further exemplified in the Wolverine vs Raiden example, regeneration can be beat by the combined factors mentioned above. (A video I have reason to believe is also in error, by simple fact that everything Raiden has cut isn't nearly as durable as adamantium. If the Hulk punching Logan form America to Canada isn't enough to so much as fracture his bones, Ridens sword isn't going to do any better.) Skill and experience: Bayonetta is actually trained by a clan of warrior magi, Dante is self trained. They might have been equal if Bayonetta wasn't already 500+ years old and all of that honing her fighting prowess in constant battle. she had to hunt angels to live, not for fun.

this death battle didnt address a few things for bayo. she can stack her time slows even slowing other people that have time manipulation abilities and her scythe takes her opponents soul.
+Lineoblader Parkis dante does have a soul, he is,half human and,can even be weakened when his soul us attacked. this happens story wise in dmc1 and dmc3. learn your games dumb fuck.

People keep liking to hype of Bayonettas feats, but theres a few things people need to keep in mind. The strength of god tiers in one verse is not the same as in another. Marvel and DC are perfect examples of this. And fact of the matter is, if all it takes is being thrown into a sun to be kill God, he ain't very strong among god tiers. Even then, Bayo wasn't the one who was capable of delivering the killing blow. People can keep using her god feat to justify her winning all they want, doesn't make ya right.

TheGotenza It's hard not to whine about it. However, I'm a huge Goku fan and I completely agree with the outcome to that video. Because it's impossible to argue that Goku can beat somebody that is literally written to be unbeatable.
I'm surprised you guys didn't do this one sooner. I have mixed feelings on this death battle. Because of two things. One the out side interference, and two missing a lot of both characters weapons and Dante's MAJIN FORM. I have no doubt Dante will beat Bayonetta every time but I think this fight should be redone. Also still waiting for the Joker vs Sweet tooth death battle.
