I've played both games and I think Bayonetta should have won, mostly because of a bunch of stuff they got wrong, Bayonetta does have a healing factor but just like in DMC it doesn't work unless you're in a cutscene or devil trigger/climax/super mode, also I have to point out that just because Dante has the weapons doesn't mean he's proficient in them, while Bayonetta's smaller arsenal means she would be better with those weapons because she has more time to train and she's been training since a child and Dante just kinda got into it after they killed his mom, and where does it show he can survive being impaled through the brain and every other part of his hand? Mostly he gets impaled through the chest, why would that mean he can survive with a destroyed brain?

Both were lowballed, but you need to keep in mind Dante has 2 higher forms of Devil Trigger; his Majin Form being on the same level to being greater than Aesir, who Bayonetta was incapable of defeating on her own. Umbran Climax is just that, a Climax; she cannot ascend passed that and once her summons would be obliterated like was happened with Aesir, she's left with very little to work with.
Sparda 200000000 Mundas was not stronger than Aesir in anyway and you’re leaving out several facts. 1.) Dante needed his father’s power to even stand up to Mundas. 2.) Despite his desperate struggle, Mundas came back a second time and Dante couldn’t do shit. Mundas was literally making fun of him the whole second fight. Even calling him weak. On the other hand, Bayonetta was able to do much more against Aesir. Yes she had help, but Balder’s aid in the battle was trivial at best. He gets blown away midway into the fight and leaves Bayo to fight by herself, and between all the qtes until he returns (like the satellite toss one) she does well on her own despite losing the left eye. 3.) And while Loki came in and destroyed the eyes, Dante still needed to use Mundas’s own power in the form of Trish’s lightning just to seal him away again.
