In the same shoes now so I symphathise with you... It's fun though!

Playing the oboe part on soprano and those 16ths aren’t as bad. But I know oboe is much harder to tongue fast on. To make it easier I do two slurred two staccato.

I agree, it's an exceptional piece.

It's one of the most beautiful quintets I have player with my bassoon

I have a very severe rating system. A third rate composer is quite good. Bach is one, Beethoven and Mozart are two, so Three is not so bad

@@sigurdbjrnson1744 Where are Tchaikovsky Brahms Sibelius and Stravinsky in your rating system? Any ones other than bach?

@@MichaelWilliams-ow9ue I personally can't tolerate the late Romantics, so only Stravinsky would rate. I'm not saying they're not good composers, just that I don't like their music.
