*Mimi Kuo-Deemer*, MA, is the author of Qigong and the Tai Chi Axis and Xiu Yang. She teaches meditation, qigong, and internal martial arts (6th generation lineage holder in Baguazhang). She champions a balance of playfulness and precision in her practice and teachings, which draw inspiration from nature, the Dao, and the wisdom of Buddha Dharma. Born in upstate New York, Mimi has lived most of her adult life overseas, in Beijing, London, and now Oxfordshire, where she lives with her husband and their dog, three cats, 8 chickens and 60,000 bees.

Very interesting dialog… I think I have a little more of a simplistic take on this… if I use what Mimi said about the Chinese character for Qi “Rice and Steam”, can I now look that Qi is food? Not solely some esoteric study of the cosmos and existence, “these are all there and are very valid”, but simply put the study of Qi and cultivation of Qi and can be looked at as food, nourishment. With very little difference between eating a healthy meal and doing a Qi exercise.
