DAOKO(だをこ) 1997年生まれ、東京都出身。ラップシンガー。ニコニコ動画へ投稿した楽曲で注目を集め、2012年15歳でLOW HIGH WHO? PRODUCTIONから 1stアルバム『HYPERGIRL-向こう側の女の子-』をリリース。メジャーデビューまでに3枚のアルバムを制作。2015年3月TOY’ S FACTORY からアルバム『DAOKO』にてメジャーデビュー。2016年には学校法人・専門学校HAL2016年度新CMのCMソングを担当。2017年8月公開の映画「打ち上げ花火、下から見るか？横から見るか？」主題歌である米津玄師プロデュース楽曲 DAOKO × 米津玄師「打上花火」アニメーションMVがRU-vidで3億視聴(2019年11月現在)を越え今も尚、勢いはとまらない。2018年、小林武史プロデュースによる楽曲「終わらない世界で」が、任天堂 / Cygames によるアクションロールプレイングゲームアプリ「ドラガリアロストTM」主題歌に決定。同年12月には3rdアルバム『私的旅行』が発売。同年末、第69回NHK紅白歌合戦に出場し注目を浴びる。音楽活動の一方、2017年に小説「ワンルーム・シーサイド・ステップ」を執筆しKADOKAWAより刊行。2019年は写真と絵の初個展 ”DAOKO × SHINKAI BABA 気づきEXHIBITION『Enlightening my world』”の開催、自主企画ライブイベント「チャームポイント」主催。また新たなバンド形式での「enlightening trip 2019」ツアーを成功させ、音楽を中心にしながらも多様なクリエイティヴ表現を続けている。

昨日のだおらじにて、「この曲でポップに振り切ったのは、メジャーにいったからにはポップと本気で向き合わないとメジャーに行った意味が無いから…。もっと色んな人に聞いてもらいたいし、戦略的に今回はわざとポップにやってみた。賛否両論どんとこい！あと、シングル全曲聴いてもらえたら色んな曲入ってるからやりたいことわかってもらえると思う。」みたいなこと言ってました。惚れるわ〜若いのに超かしこいし、かっこいい！

Western pop artists change their music style all the time and no one says shit. Daoko tries a lighter sound and everyone gets mad. If y'all don't like this, go find something else or make your own music, maybe.

Man, I've been a daoko fan since gravity and I actually find myself enjoying her more recent j pop-centric material more. I loved the old stuff but her new stuff is so much more melodically and compositionally impressive . I'm surprised many others don't feel the same way. .

If you listened to her earlier stuff, this actually sounds more like her older more pop sounding songs. Definitely different from the slower, more down pitch hip hop influenced songs but still has DAOKO's style written on it. This sounds like something that'd be on the later half of DAOKO album or her Gravity EP.

My opinion, this one is kind of easy to listen for me if compared with her older albums, lots of rapping and cool electronic noises, which are really deep and experimental. I just think she wants to change the target-market; indie-rap to J-pop, in order to spread out from Japan to International. PS. this might be a chance to have 'DAOKO the world tour.' :P great sign!

For people who say she has changed. This song was produced with/by Teddyloid, and is the reason it might sound different than her more popular stuff that is more downtempo than this. But it isn't at all new to her. Prime example is her work in ME!ME!ME! which was also produced by Teddyloid.

I kinda miss the old Daoko, but this song is awesome and has that weird (in a good way) and interesting feeling. I can't get over this song and I've already listened to it for 1 hour

Honestly I feel like this SOUNDS quite different to her usual style, but has anyone read the lyrics? The lyrics are what make me think 'daoko', I'm not worried about it at all lmao
