hot damn these Emperor's Children are beautifully painted. love the purple and pink shading on the armor with that little green highlight. and the faces! these might be the best painted faces ive ever seen and actually make me want faces instead of helmets. all of this makes them look like from a retro steampunk video game. so good.

Looks like there is a repeat of turn 2 after the magna combi weapons wound. Looks like around 26:49. Was a little weird because it went from checking to see if the Sgt had a 5+ inv to a fade in back to the beginning of the movement phase.

Wonderful content guys. Have you considered running your Inner circle Knights as the Broken Claws order from the PDF? They can take Advex mors greatswords which replace Murderous strike 5+ with Brutal 2 and +1 strength. I think they are mathematically better against almost everything, especially enemy terminators.
TGS' sweep in most situations that you actually want to be using cenos for + the advex mors hekatonystika is ass compared to hunter of beasts or slayer of kings. I think the advex mors is a lot better at killing TEQ, but literally just take thunder hammers if you want your cenos to fight terminators.
You might be interested to know that RAW, companions can take the fall for Corswain even when he's in a challenge. Being in a challenge forces you to allocate "wounds" to the model fighting in the challenge, but their death-sworn companions rule allows you to allocate your own "Casualties". So Corswain might get wounded by an Instant death attack in a challenge, but a companion can be picked as the casualty, and still take the fall for him. It's bullshit obviously, but companions truly are the best bodyguards.

@@SNBattleReports it's just something that happens very often, people fight battles that can't be won and it always goes the same way, some characters just don't lose and beat everyone else every time
I'm starting to see a theme of lists that don't match up power wise. Beautiful forces but it kind of often seems like one army, often Paldos is a lot stronger from a more experienced, and very good player. It's just my feedback it's more interesting to watch games that have the other players experience and army in mind IMO. It's not that entertaining if I can predict the victor of the game simply by looking at the army, all tyrannic great swords in ZM plus Corswain? Just some honest feedback. Thanks for the beautiful game as always sirs! Both these armies are absolutely gorgeous
You have had a couple of negative comments lately. You know I played Lucius right? A terminator retinue, and prob one of the best elite units in the game. I don’t know what you want me to play honestly. Did you want me to take tactical marines and get slaughtered 😆
Pardo does bring stronger lists quite often but these lists were a lot closer than those in some other games, and I feel like statistically failing those 2 failed charges should have really swung it - but the dice weren't having it. That's how it goes sometimes!
@@SNBattleReports No I just feel that I've played the game and more specifically dark angles enough to know they slaughter basically anything they fight in combat hitting on 3s with instant death swords and I know as good as Lucius is he's not going to likely stand much of a chance against Corswain who's got a 3++ and a sword that typically causes multiple instant death wounds. I'm not begrudging you for being a good player or sportman anything I'm just saying I've been playing heresy for a long time and when I've been pretty consistently winning with a strong faction I tend to mix up the units I take and challenge myself against the newer players or less competitive players is all. I apologize if that's negative I just thought it was worth commenting because often times once again if I look at two lists and know who will win very likley before the two play it's a little boring and results in a lot of people just turning the video off once they see its going as the expected. Again lovely armies and you guys are great on camera, I love the channel I just thought that might be good feedback because I know I'm not the only person who feels that way when they watch games. Also to be clear I don't think all your lists are brutal I just think having players discuss lists before hand can lead to more engaging games to watch.
@@SNBattleReports Long-time Emperor's Children player here. It was indeed played incorrectly (I almost shouted at the screen, because I LOVE The Perfect Counter). This Advanced Reaction tells us that it is triggered "when any enemy unit declares a Charge targeting a friendly unit". When that happens, the reaction requires a charge roll-off (just 2d6, no mods) between the two players. IF the Emperor's Children player's roll either BEATS - or - MATCHES the enemy's roll (very powerful detail), then the enemy unit IMMEDIATELY CANCELS their charge, and the Emperor's Children player can COUNTER-CHARGE the enemy unit as if it nothing happened, totally nullifying the enemy unit's actions. Now, it is a little unclear from the wording of the reaction, but I have understood that IF the Emperor's Children unit has the charge distance (from the roll) to make a successful charge, then they can do so, otherwise, instead of losing the reaction and not counter-charging, the Emperor's Children player can choose to shoot instead (and before determining if the enemy charges...meaning an enemy can be significantly whittled down by this reaction before a charge is even determined). Anyways, when The Perfect Counter is triggered (regardless of the failure of the enemy's charge), the EC player can for one reason or other elect to shoot instead of charge, meaning, the enemy unit, not only may fail the charge, but the EC unit can ALSO blast away with ranged weapons instead of charging (this is very situational, but might make sense in an odd case where Sun Killers are charged or something). Anyways, bottom line, this reaction is quite powerful, and can result in a whole lot of bad for the enemy player. Too bad Jose was short-changed in this one by not using it to its full potential, but now you guys know for next time. Also, an aside for Jose, I have been a big fan of your rendition of the III Legion for quite some time. You're one of the few who do them justice!

We were fully aware of the advanced reaction option of shooting if you’re not able to charge, but i had in mind that in ZM shooting reactions hits at six, and I rather to don’t waste those combis in there. I could have shoot with the combibolters though, but with the hands I had I literally skipped it intentionally…😂 Anyway, thanks so much for clarifying it even more, buddy. Really appreciated 💜
