Lawrence Nielsen The music is good, no doubt about that. But morean is pretentious talking about how ylem is very deep and not many people will understand it. We do know what he's saying - only that it isnt as deep as morean thinks it is. And just look at the stupid faces he's making here. How can you keep a straight face
Ultimate respect... What a masterpiece...i just wanted a song to listen in cold foggy winds in my village and i found it....man i can feel the pain sadness and sorrow
Omg, that second verse is so badass, the gothic styled vocals make him sound like a vampire, if lord of the rings were to be remade, this guy would be the voice of Sauron.
A spell to free all matter Folding time and gravity A universe to shatter Conjuring black holography Unraveling the ether Rending screeching molecules Severing the elements Ripping core from core Sorcery's caustic breath Fills the void between the spheres The archetypes are gathering At the other end of genesis Ylem Rise from oblivion Initiate the grand corrosion Ylem Awaken, dormant omega The web constricts around quivering hearts Spectres swell From my hands I feel my mind vibrating Virulent black odic force Bleeding into every cell Ripe with mortality A breathless world is shaking A cosmic avalanche is waking All shall die All shall die Rise from oblivion Initiate the great corrosion Awaken, dormant omega The atoms shall remember Scourge the moribund Initiate the great…
Watch Dimmu Borgir's: Sacrilegious scorn.. I do like black metal but the vids' may sometimes make me wonder how those guys for example can act in that video without laughing even a bit.. I wonder how many shots they have to take before the vid' is ready.. :D But before someone says to me: Fuck off or You don't have to listen if you don't like, I have to say that I do like Dimmu Borgir a lot.. So peace to all you ladies and gents'.!! \m/
I'm a huge metal fan, almost every genre, black metal is one of my fav's, but i just think black metal shouldnt have music videos. yes they are hilarious
"Ylem" Is a furnace of emotional out coming, in other worlds for an example, imagine what it be like when everything you see in world is gone and to experience it, the big bang is a good example.
there is no single second from this song that I do not enjoy, the whole album is even better and even takes me to another dimension of pleasure, at least for my ears, my brain
lol sorry, I really don't listen to much black metal, so I wouldn't know about the corny videos. In terms of heaviness, the heaviest I prefer to go, is with Betraying The Martyrs.
Ruben Valdez Dude, what the hell is your deal? Calm your happy ass down. I don't listen to rap, and I sure as hell don't listen to pop, so you can fuck off.
HOLY FUCKING SHIT!!! I just realized this band had released a new album! I have Eidolon and it's incredible to say the least but this sounds UNBELIEVABLE!!! It's definitely more extreme than Eidolon from what I heard so far!!, it's amazing and Morean and his lyrics are amazing!!!
1:44 - epic corpse paint. Dark Fortress : Probably one of the best metal-bands ever, yet SURELY some of the best videos ever! Sirious, i like their set of aesthetics...
Ive had this album for quit a while now. It never gets old. They really put in alot of hard work this time around. I love the route they are taking; every song is different and has its own feel to it. I highly recommend buying the full album
I think the thing that is the most compelling to me about the lyrics is the concept of the apocalypse not pertaining fire and brimstone, but a slow decay. Like a sickly old man lying in bed dying in his own filth, has death already claimed him or won't the people around him notice that he is gone until his corpse is swarming with flies and maggots. I think i'm not alone when I say that it sometimes feels as though we are already living in the end of days for mankind, and this song to me describes that feeling very well.
lol did this video director's parents ground him to his room after making this video? It's hard to believe Dark Fortress agreed that, "Yes, this is the production we were wanting." I like the song, but the video looks like a sarcastic parody.
+Andy Vilas Boas Yeah to busy trying to over do the evil shit and looking evil as hard as they can. they just need to be a little bit more natural relax and forget about looking evil. that's goes for all these kind of bands.
Andy Vilas Boas Morean actually stated that the song Ylem is very deep and not many people will understand it. Haha he's so pretentious. Just look at his facial expressions
This Video recieves to much positive attention to be called black metal . It is loved? Unacceptable! It should be hated!!! Black Metal= HATE!!!! ( Yes, i am just joking...)👍🏿
impressive how this guy can shred like no one else and still can write simple riffs, most of the Tech Death guys are into super complex structures and stuff...
But only because you don't like it you can't say it isn't music. It has rhytm and melody. Dark Fortress also have fans. These are evedences this IS music.
I guess great minds do think alike... Dark Fortress founded in Germany in '94, and just one year earlier in Norway, Dimmu Borgir (which means Dark Fortress or Black Castle depending on which language you translate from) was starting their own careers. Kind of awesome, two excellent European black metal bands, both formed around the same time, with the same name.
Music is an art form whose medium is sound and silence. Its common elements are pitch (which governs melody and harmony), rhythm (and its associated concepts tempo, meter, and articulation), dynamics, and the sonic qualities of timbre and texture. This song has sound, silence, pitch (guitar notes. if you don't hear any, I think you might be deaf), rhythm and everything else. You clearly don't know what music is.
The video was so funny at first especially with the vocalist trying to be scary but looking kind of crazy and childish showing off the lotus pose:) But whatever the boy was handsome so I watched till the end and I'm glad that I did, to my surprise I really liked the music. I'll definately check out the band.
This band is fucking amazing.... one of their better albums in my opinion... I've been into them since they first came around in 2001.... they're a pretty damn consistent black metal band...
