I am obsessed with the pitch and time stretch functions. As you stated it adds some real unique character to samples.

you could also switch the vinyl vari of the sample your using chromatically to backing or ensemble (depending on the sample content) to maintain length and tempo when programming higher or lower notes, do that a lot especially when programming bass lines. timestretch algo is pretty good on the sp. dope vid as always!

I'm going to give this a try using your samples. I'm struggling to get the process of doing this right being a complete beginner so I think if I work through something a couple of times it will clear it up for me. Cheers for the tips.

There are a few ways. You could resample, or record out to a computer. You could also take the time to put them into the pattern sequencer if you wanted to

One question actually. With your FX busses, are you running everything through vinyl sim twice (303 / 404) but only using the compression on the 303 with no wobble / noise and the wobble on 404 with no compression and noise? Thanks! 🙌

As far as I’m aware there is no compression on 404 vinyl sim but yes pretty much exactly that. 303 for the comp and 404 for the spice 👍

Is it possible, when chopping samples, to apply a gate to the pads so when I'm fine-tuning the start points with the knob, it doesn't "spam" the slice over and over when getting the marker closer to the transient point? (Without having to wait for the pad to finish playing - sort of speak)

I don’t think so and that annoys the hell out of me as well. I wish it didn’t jump back to the start each time you made an adjustment and just kept looping, or at least I wish you could choose

@@spvidz I've also noticed that with some FX pages, when you cycle to the second page with the value knob, some require you to hold it down while others have no problem staying on the second set of parameters. I've also noticed that when the pattern loops back around to the beginning, it negates the Remain functionality and tosses you back into the pattern sequencer even though I wanted to stay in the FX menu. Have you noticed this as well?

For the first issue, thats maybe because you're not hitting remain before you change page. Apply the mfx then do Remain + MFX and you can flip between the two pages with a click of the value dial no problem - you don't need to hold it if you do that first (at least thats the case on mine) Just made a quick two bar loop and if I press remain the MFX continues to show as expected. I didn't go through them all but I tried 4 and they were all ok.
