I had to lock in asap when I realised this is a Labyrinth deck I was up against. It was a very long battle but I was ready for what's to come right from the start.

Thank you I do love back and forth action. I find otks very boring and involves no real strategy to overturn a situation.

Just goes to show how strong dark magician is, all it needs Is a eternal soul 2.0, a remake of that card (where instead of destroying all your monsters, you take damage for each dark magician on the field, or something similar) and dragoon haha

It's not strong it's completely reliant on Eternal Soul and DM Circle. Other than DM banish spam it has no win condition. And can be disrupted midplay very easily for example Bystials destroy the deck. Mid combo just banish the DM and and they often run branded engine so at any time they can banish if they don't have perfect setup. Not to mention DM bricks much harder than Blue Eyes.

Dark Magician itself is not good at all but there are multiple combos that can be used not just ES and DM there's so much combos available and fusions. It definitely makes playing the game alot of fun

ES + that fusion are the reason why I run Trisbaena on my lists... They can be easily interrupted with Ash & similar (But since I don't play anything like it then had to shrug those shenanigans) Honest Lab player deserved the L... wasted Rollback for no real reason (Imagine using Big W as soon as Circle was activated to prevent the banish... nope, lets destroy the 1 time boost instead), wasn't wary on the windows where ES could be targeted, and to top it all banished a card that doesn't do anything on its own (Doubt was playing around Magikuriboh) In short: Never understimate the pet card of the protagonist

All he had to do really was before he started his setup, Evenly Matched whole DM board would have been toast. But most Lab build their decks to be turn 1, good lab players build turn 2 decks.

@@Citizen_Nappa23 You mean Rollback + Evenly on gy right? Would need Ariana / Paleo Marella to make it work when needed Lab player had moments where could out ES thou (Wiht Big W bounce), but kept messing since Lovely wasn't around and most Lab players don't know what to do when it happens

Because the card says the player has to send all face up monsters they control to the Graveyard. The card doesn't target nor directly effect the monsters. Same thing with Equally matched, the players have to abide by the trap's direct effect on the duel itself
