I have an update!!! Gosh. Thank you so much dude!!!!!! I just completed Captive of the horde king. I literally could not stop reading. Finished the book in one sitting. I'm OBSESSED. It didn't feel like a dark romance at all because of how adorable the main guy was. Gosh. I'm so glad I am on a vacation when I started this series. I can't wait to read everything this author has to offer. Thank u so much. I love your recommendations!!!

@@Siobhancaitlynbooks if you like crime and dark romance one of my favourite duologies is the born darkly duet by Trisha Wolfe (she’s a psychologist at a high security prison and he’s a serial killer😏) also books that help me get out of reading slumps are Ruby Dixon books specifically the ice planet barbarian series!! And the boys of tommen series by Chloe Walsh pulled me out of a slump specifically keeping 13 but they’re all so addicting 🤭💗

Because if it’s how very like dark and high key abusive they are that is kind of a prominent thing throughout but it kinda doesn’t seem as bad near the end😂 but I’m not sure because I loved them from the start so for me it was always good😅 sorry to be no help!! The public shaming one. Where they claim her as their slave. Being in her mind when they were saying that was a bit suffocating. Although I'm just a chicken who gave up in the first hundred pages. The more I think about your review, I'm thinking of picking it up again.
Also you should totally pick up books by Marie Mistry. She has the daughter of the Cain series which is a dark romance and the Deadwood series which is a witch and pirates romance .If you are comfortable with 'why choose ' romance she'll be the perfect author for you.

Because it sounds kinda forced and unbelievable the way she’s mentioned like about 6 different men ahaha but that might just be me judging the synopsis too hard! I’m still deffo gonna pick it up!!
