No one gives a shit about woz as much as Steve. He wrote his name in the history and whenever people will talk about humanity people will remember Steve not woz. This is what becoming immoral look like.
Steve jobs is only good at marketing. Even at that we can have doubts. Steve Jobs is so stupid he had curable cancer and he decided to do stupid diets and stupid things like rock medicine no wonder he died
But steve Jobs changed the world. Literally, everyone on the planet knows his name, but woz was just an engineer Never knew woz existed if it wasn't because of knowing and loving and searching about steve Jobs Sometimes, good people, die sooner
That's literally every founder, they tell you that you're a part of it, you do most of the work, and they take most of the profits, simply for the sake of "I took the risk".
Unless you're the only employee, you didn't do most of the work. Also, the idea for the company, its strategy & management also counts. Not to mention the fact that they're the ones who started the company & thus created a source of employment for you and/or anyone else in that instant. Also, no one's forcing anyone to take the job. Since you do most of the work, why not start your own company & take the lion share in proportion to your work. If founders' work is just a small part, which in turn means it's easier than "doing most of the work", why isn't everyone doing it? And why are those doing it failing most of the time (most startups fail within a few years)?
@@AkeruZikora you have no idea what you're talking about, I worked in a startup as an only employee (people started joining later) and trust me, I did more than starting a new company, how do I know ? Because I just registered another company with the help of a friend where he's also doing a decent chunk of work and almost all of legal stuff and yet the profit is 50-50 because he knows he can't make the product without me. Compliances and registrations are barely that difficult as I've done the standard one's and for the complicated one's you keep a company secratary. Try to write a software from scratch, especially for an embedded system under that heavy constraints, and then talk to me,
@@AkeruZikora most startup fails because of mostly three reasons, 1. You don't know how to monitize your product 2. You don't know how to market your product. 3. Your employees which make the backbone of your company leave because of your greedy practices.

Doesn’t know shit? The media really make everyone hear what they wanna hear don’t they? Steve job have been making electronic hardware since he was 13. He just didnt get formal tech education
@@u235u235u235 Remember, Woz was not just a programmer, but a hardware genius at the time, who created the Apple I & II. So yes, Jobs later became a motivational marketer, but without Woz, he would have no computer to sell. Also, back in those days Jobs had no money, clout or product. He only had long hair and a beard like millions of other hippies.
@@u235u235u235 That may be true that Jobs would’ve found another programmer, but to the original commenter’s point, a large amount of credit would then simply go that other programmer. In the end, as important as Jobs’s genius marketing skills were, the product still needed to be good (look no further than the failed “Theranos” from Steve Jobs-wannabe Elizabeth Holmes), and he took no part in actually making the product. Indeed, Jobs and Woz both needed each other for what turned into ultimate success… However, a great product without a great marketer is untapped potential. A great marketer without a great product is… well it’s just empty words.
@@archux_better men have gone through tougher upbringings, my friend. We should never use someone's past to justify their present and future actions. Steve Jobs was an asshole through and through regardless of his childhood. He had every opportunity to be a better person but instead chose what would personally benefit him. He got what he deserved in the end though so there's that.
@@broadstreet21and Wozniak could give less of a shit about not being rich if he could. Steve was the one who wanted to profit off of Woz's genius by any means necessary, even if it meant stepping on him and everyone else.
Who's here to say or confirm that it's true? But if it is, then that says a bit about how "some" people are in life. One of my favourite quotes in life is what Warren Buffett once said, "honesty is an expensive gift, don't expect it from cheap people."
Movie tells us that jobs wouldn't even pay for his daughter tuition since it was more than what the judge order but that amount was from before he was a millionaire and the tuition was when he was already super rich that tells u what kind of person he was
i’ve seen the movie too, but im not sure that was reason, I think he stood more on his principle and ego and was mad at the mother of his child not being appreciative for the house. But I could also be wrong

Yes eventhough you would do it for free. its about the fact they dont give a fuvk about you event hough you do
I read his biography and this story is told in that; except it wasn’t thousands. Steve had got a bonus from Atari of a few hundred bucks for getting the job done in a short space of time but allegedly didn’t tell Woz about it. Steve said he could never recall the incident but the manager from Atari confirmed.
It was actually he got a bonus for every chip that was reduced in the solution. And did not tell Woz about this bonus but just more “hey it would be cool to impress them on how good you are Woz. How many chip do you think you could reduce in the design?” Basically he paid Woz by feeding Woz ego. So those who claim jobs had a large ego (he did) so had Woz
@@litjellyfishI mean, that's artificially reducing the list of reasons Woz would be inclined to reduce the size of chips on Steve's instruction. He was an enthusiast, he enjoyed his work, for all we know he could have felt Steve shared his desire for perfection and wanted to push him. Steve was a genius, a visionary, but had a deeply flawed character, that was lost on nobody. I can't understand why people defend him on his character. Makes no sense to me. Especially if you have to disparage Wozniak for Steve to sound like a marginally good human being. Imagine you're Wozniak and Steve did that to you. There's your answer.
I don't know if Steve was a narcissist, but he was certainly selfish for keeping that money all to himself. Utter disregard for his technical cofounder, without which, he'd likely be selling fries at McDonalds.
Did you know him? Or are you judging based on hear say and what others said. All I know is he did a lot of good in his life including helping Woz as otherwise he would have just been another engineer.
@@Baruch-Hashemhe shut downed apples charity foundation when he came back as a ceo and Wozniak himself said Steve vision was earning money not revolutionising computers.
Hello? It's what every business does in existence, or what we nowadays call flipping. Take a product or service and make a profit either by lowering its production cost or raising its price. The only objectionable thing here is Steve Jobs lying to his friend.
There’s a lot of “business” folks like that. Some people in the business world have no morals. Because they talk louder, get preferential treatment for being attractive, and have the confidence to seize opportunities, they end up getting paid for something they barely worked for.
I disagree. The big difference between Steve Jobs and Elon Musk is: that Steve Jobs is realistic when he is visionary. He moves in the realms of the possible, and demands only what is possible. While Elon Musk claims and promises to do the impossible, and dont considers what is possible and what not. Yes, Elon Musks also shoves his dreams to engineers. But the difference is: he doesnt know whats possible. For instance: Hyperloop. He literally dreams without the feet on the ground. Steve Jobs never dreamed without feets on the ground. Steve Jobs never promised which wasnt there yet. Elon Musk says ''next year it will come''... Steve Jobs, as far i can tell, never did this. Every keynote of Jobs was a presentation of the product which is already there (iphone, ipad, itunes, ipod, etc). Unfortunately people always compare Elon Musk to Steve Jobs. Elon Musk used the void Steve Jobs left - and acted like he is the new Steve Jobs. Thats how he got so famous. In terms of products he did literally nothing besides the Tesla Car - which is not innovative - in no sense.
@@fendermon Exactly. Elon Musk is very much hyped up. He is nothing more than a cult leader who promises the holy land, but with technical dreams which mostly are impossible, or inpractical or to expensive to achieve.
@@PygmalionFaciebat Yup, you get it :) Also, for those that don't know ..one of his fancy cars ran over a motorcyclist in broad daylight last week (roughly).
Jobs returned to Atari in early 1975, and that summer, Bushnell assigned him to create a circuit board for the arcade video game Breakout in as few chips as possible, knowing that Jobs would recruit Wozniak for help. During his day job at HP, Wozniak drew sketches of the circuit design; at night, he joined Jobs at Atari and continued to refine the design, which Jobs implemented on a breadboard.[55] According to Bushnell, Atari offered $100 (equivalent to about $500 in 2022) for each TTL chip that was eliminated in the machine. Jobs made a deal with Wozniak to split the fee evenly between them if Wozniak could minimize the number of chips. Much to the amazement of Atari engineers, within four days Wozniak reduced the TTL count to 45, far below the usual 100, though Atari later re-engineered it to make it easier to test and add a few missing features.[56] According to Wozniak, Jobs told him that Atari paid them only $750 (instead of the actual $5,000), and that Wozniak's share was thus $375.[57] Wozniak did not learn about the actual bonus until ten years later but said that if Jobs had told him about it and explained that he needed the money, Wozniak would have given it to him.
That was 5000 USD. Atari asked jobs to create the board within 50 chips, he will get 1000 USD more per chip if it's less than 50... woz created the board with 45 chips. So jobs got 5000 USD.
