The black knight sword can also oneshot jump attack the demon, in fact you can upgrade the black knight sword to +4 before doing the bell gargoyles and you don't even need the masterkey in order to do that.
@@leeham6230 you had a point, you could drop moss to Snuggly and you get 4 extra twinkling titanite. That's how i made the Astora sword +5 before the first bell
i just started a run with a black knight greataxe, got it to +5 before the taurus demon by trading moss to snuggly, killing the lizards in undead burg, darkroot basin, and the catacombs. needless to say, the weapon is insanely overpowered and so far i'm 1 shotting everything, 2 shotted capra demon too lol

@@misterG2006 farming or modding 20+ levels over average boss encounter soul level and reinforcing your weapon to +5 before you meet the blacksmith to one shot him is not an impressive feat... you fight the Taurus demon around soul level 10-15 tops. Not to mention you chunk 1/3 of his health anyways regardless of what weapon you use. Any heavy weapon can do this using the same method.
The demon great sword plus 15 , with 40 strength, 40 endurance, at least 50 points to hp , giants armor fully upgraded , Atorias great shield , pyro flame , power with in for extra damage against bosses , ring of favor and protection and ring of steel protection. Demons spear plus 5 or chaos pike plus 5 as a side arm , put 12 into dex so you have access to the short bow , make it lighting plus 5 , buy feather arrows and have hawk ring . Buy green moss for faster stamina recovery, black fire bombs to throw at enemies you may need to at times , buy those flowers that cure toxic . You are now a fully operating tank able to mow through the game easily , just don’t get too greedy . What ever is left for points if you plan on stopping at 120 , should be for attunment so you have access to great combustion or fire storm or great fire ball or if you like the black knight weapons . The black knight axe has a great 1 hand R1 with a very wide swing and range ,that weapon can carry you through the game too .
instead of using demons greataxe, you can use greatclub which is nearly same atk (at 50 str and +15 , great club has 8 less atk only) and it is a guaranteed drop

DGA has the highest AR of any melee weapon in the game and can also be buffed without the use of tumble buffing. You can also buy one from Shiva instead of hoping for the black knight in undead parish to drop one or kiln farming. The only cons are the slow swing speed which isn't an issue once you get used to the weapon, or block with shields, and the high strength requirement, but if you grind for a bit or use soul duping this isn't an issue. BKGS isn't really all that great due to other weapons of the same category being much better (Demon's great machete, and Zweihander). Edit: another Con is the large equip load so more points have to be placed into endurance to achieve a fast roll with the weapon.
Use black knight sword +5 it's better and not hard to obtain just use all your humanities when fighting a black knight so you can increase your item discovery.
Well not really, it's effective there because you get a free crit (on one of the weakest bosses) - If you have to hit more than one time, this is very tricky to use..
