An Elden Ring player tries Dark Souls 2 for the first time! I have been playing through Dark Souls 2 for my first time as one of the last games in the series. I have beaten Elden Ring, Sekiro, Bloodborne, Dark Souls, and Dark Souls 3. Dark Souls 2 is by far the hardest and most annoying game in the series I've played but today I found out how to do better and actually made progress!

I feel like you level up in dark souls 2 so much faster than any other souls game. Like I have a new playthrough going in elden ring right now and it feels like I'm always struggling for runes, but in dark souls 2 I was well over level 100 before I actually had to start stockpiling souls to level up

It's an optional side area that's intentional harder than the main area. You're meant to come back later. Or be a Chad.

I know you're probably done with DS2 but I will still drop my comment ahaha. This was my first Souls game and I think it was the hardest out of the 3 + Elden Ring. Well at least until I discovered miracles, and went Sunlight Spear build... It claps everything. Oh and the Santiers Spear was a really cool concept too.

Beat this for the first time with +10 Greatsword, and a +10 shortbow for ranged pulls/sniping. Str build tons of fun, and hits like train. I might try one of those hammers for my NG+. They look fun.

also back when the game first came out and the multiplayer was bumpin you could put a red sign down at the looking glass knight fog wall to invade as the black phantom coming out of the shield it was fun.

Don't know if you've already finished this game, but upgrading adaptability stat reduce the time of estus flask animation. I upgrated twice and it was enough to stop being so frustrating. Also, I'm also a dexterity person but I surrended to unga bunga mode and just smashed my way through everything in this game.

Lol why is it all streamers decide to ignore exploring areas like the gutter and gulch, misses bonfires right before a boss fog..... most boss fogs have bonfires like that lol. Enjoy the content either way, I just don't understand why yall stream this on twitch etc etc, and blatantly miss stuff.

Was my first time playing. I think it's a combination of trying to get to the exciting content as quick as possible for entertainment and not knowing the map well

You've already stated how you missed a lot, I just want your first playthrough to have all the advantages you can lol. And running through places like the gulch again and again are..... Draining... To say the least lol
