Abd it took him months if not years to do this run, every run getting shorter and shorter, the only way you can Speedrun a game is at least heat it ten times and explore games every mechanic/ glitch.

By walking into the corner you are able to store your position inside the boss arena. The boss AI triggers when you enter the foggate but since you are already inside the arena the AI never triggers. Only works on old patch
Gundyr makes this look spliced. First you whip the camera back to look at you, 99xx dmg at gundyr, after 99xx dmg disappears his health bar changes. Whats up with that?
The camera whip is due to alttabbing and tabbing back in, the damage is a visual glitch in old patch, it takes damage that i dealt in a previous savefile or something. I remember if i hit Yhorm and then reset, it would show some ridiculous numbers next time i fought gundyr. Also, there would be no point to splice a run at gundyr
this is a hacked run in the very beginning of the run it said you did 9k damage to gundyr ive never seen that in ANY other dark souls 3 run your first combo on him always has a set 1244 damage or if you pull off early to assure the dodge the damage numbers wont display everyone knows that you should be ashamed of yourself frfr

To finish the game in the smallest amount of in-game time possible, and in this specific run category all glitches and exploits are allowed. There are categories that don't allow glitches or exploits, categories that require killing all bosses that allow glitches, that don't. The point is how fast, under a certain set of rules, can someone finish the game from start to finish.

.....I can answer your stupid question. It's an any% speedrun. According to the rules of the run, glitches are allowed. Quitting and reloading saves many seconds. Playing the game how intended is not the point of an any% speedrun where glitchess are allowed. The runner's goal is to finish the game in the lowest amount of in-game-time possible, regardless of intended play. If that's not YOUR goal when playing the game, that's wonderful and no one should fault you for it. Just like you shouldn't whine about what another player's goal with the game is because that's how they prefer to play it.
That's literally how it works... lol it's called a quit out at a door primarily to save time, and those seconds add up. Every top speed runner and prospective speedrunner does it. Not cheating, just exploiting the system more lmao.
Again with the stupid air walking and glitching the game , imo this is not a speed run , this is not even a run ... its just glitching the F outta the game so you can reach the ending , you might as well just get a hack that you press a button and the end game credits come out ... jesus these kids nowadays ... speed run they say ..... more like speed glitching
That’s what an any% speed run is. Doing these glitches is significantly more difficult than playing the game normally. If it’s not your cup of tea, then runs marked as glitchless is what you’re looking for. It’s a different category and there’s nothing wrong with either.

Developers leave bugs like this in on purpose sometimes, to give more options to the speedrunning community. NO ONE except for any% runners does this and any% just means reach the end of the game as fast as possible, no matter the progress in the actual game. So naturally they are going to rush towards the end asap. If you want glitchless you can watch any% glitchless, or even All Bosses glitchless. How about you try any of this to become aware of the actual difficulty?
