2 years later and I still haven't beat Dark Souls 3... But I will before Elden Ring comes out!... hopefully ~Social Media ~ Twitter: / afrosenju Twitch: / afrosenjutv Instagram: / afrosenjutv
The first phase moveset is supposed to be a variety of everything because its the soul of all the people who have linked the fire and then become lords of cinder. The soul of cinder therefore has all of their moves and skills. The second phase is basically all of gwyns moves (final boss of ds1 and the first lord of cinder) and even gwyns theme is played within the rest of the music in phase 2. Its such a poetic and perfect end to the series
Even the flip the Soul of Cinder does is commonly used by Dark Souls players utilizing the Dark Wood Grain Ring against Gwyn. Afro was like "why can't I do that!" and I smile thinking about Fromsoft's meticulous design of giving the Final Boss everything we could do in OG Dark Souls plus the remnant of Gwyns soul.
@@115UndeadAnarchy115 the spell itself yes, but the attack is the manifestation of the pure force of Will of the player characters that could use Greater Soul Arrow and that other Humanity based projectile similar from the DLC. The only difference is the Mana is amped up to 11 as it houses a fragment of the hollowed out Souls of all players who linked the flame in the stead of Lord Gwyn instead of a single entity.
@@hatefulgaming1800 With the symbol of avarice, shield of want, covetous silver serpent ring +3. You farm the knight next to the lothric castle bonfire. You get about 1.7 million souls an hour.
On my first time playing ds3 was my first and i was told that I can fight a high end boss from the beginning, the dancer, i was around sl 15 i was stubborn lol and just wanted to kill it at such a low level it took me around 3 months to do it lmao that feeling was unbelievable though from that experience almost all other bosses felt easy
bruh the whole time I was like "he doesn't know, he doesn't know..." its so crazy that this much time has passed and there is still people like this that haven't experienced finishing DS3 its hellla satisfying to just get through it and learn.
Soulsborne games are so rewarding. That feeling after finally beating a boss after HOURS and sometimes DAYS is unlike any other I get from gaming. Classic set of games FromSoft has.
got here a little bit ago got to the part with dragonslayer armor, a judicator in a swamp and midir burning a bridge. I can nit wait to see afros reaction to that area
@@dillonknight199 afro got me to BUY ds3 and I just platinumed it about 2-3 weeks ago, so I hope he's able to do the dlc cause of some of the shit he'll encounter but I just watched him fight soul of cinders with 8 +5 estus flasks which is not bad for the main game but it's terrible for the dlc, especially ringed city. If he started the dlc like that, I don't think we'll get another dark souls 3 video
@@IKELLOGS there is a dragonslayer armor on the very end of the swamp to the left(the swamp with all the enemies and the judicator after the ringed city streets)
@@littlemoth4956 what usually catches people with the Twin Princes is Lorian's delayed attack after he teleports. This move hence punishes roll spamming since it routinely forces you to perform a timed dodge. I never had too much trouble with this fight myself, but I've known players who have and vast majority of reasons is because of his teleport. Everyone has a hard boss at the end of today. Your 'easy' may just well be a challenge for someone else.
@@hatefulgaming1800 I don't think you need to once you've gotten to the Soul of Cinder. You can head straight to the ringed city without touching Friede
You have motivated me to play this game, it's been sitting in my collection for a year and i havent even started it. Currently doing my first playthrough for Bloodborne
I’ve missed DS3 content so much the game is so dope but I know I wouldn't get far playing it so I always watched it on this channel any never anywhere else. Love it maynnnn
I just played DS3 for the first time and used the “winblades” lol. It was fun and I can see how much they improved the series from Demon Souls. Can’t wait for Elden Ring! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Your progress and tenacity on beating the bosses was comendable, like once you got their playstyles and movements, you just got to work on yourself and your own sense of what the fuck I can do in those moments when he does this, and you Afro are doing really good, hope to see your final battle with the Final Boss soon, and maybe some PVP with the homies? :3
That opening was legit my D&D party's first session. "bro you said you could kill it" Bro, I'm a wizard! I need back up!" "bro Im outta mana" "why would you waste your mana on the first one?"
Let me tell you that Soul of Cinder is the combination of all your characters throughout Dark souls 1 and 2 also a bit of gwin lord of sunlight first cinder. That's why he basically have everything. The second phase is literally the best part for a long time fan.
@@revlismorningstar825 To say that it's accepted by most of the community is a reach. It's highly debated and often debunked. There is no such thing as a factual confirmation that DS2 happens after DS3
@@revlismorningstar825 Accepted by most of the community?? bro WHO and WHERE??? It literally makes NO SENSE and even the game itself confirms it in the Faraam armor description that it happens after, ignoring the obvious story and all
Just beat this for the first time couple weeks ago along with the rest of the souls series . Man after getting the experience of this series it's weird to watch other people play this now and get satisfaction when watching them die multiple times lol feels good especially on bosses like Nameless King. That I suffered on for so long . Did every boss in all the souls games Solo. That was a a journey and a half lol Demon's souls remake all the way to Sekiro
Bro not to butt in but I thought everyone best the game solo ? I did too since I have no friends that play 🥲 im playing sekiro now and that shit is though
Afro the master of "I'm never gonna play this game again", "jk I'm back". Next video I'm expecting is Afro coming back next week saying he lvl'd everything in Endwalker to max and has cleared the current savage tier along with an ultimate.
I love that you're using the NieR:Automata soundtrack! I heard it when nameless king phase 2 started and went "wait that's totally bipolar nightmare" Awesome to find a fellow NieR music lover.
@@gatchu2246 well yeah its one of the best, arguably the best video game soundtrack ever produced. The NieR series however is still wildly underrated. It deserves so much more recognition. Its genuine playable artwork and most people look right passed it to go for the latest video game abomination that's gained some youtube popularity. At the very least it's so dang cool when I browse RU-vid and just randomly hear NieR music being played in the background. First time it happened was when I heard solidsols piano cover on rays of light in one of his for honor videos. I went "wait a minute I recognize those piano keys from anywhere, it's rays of light"
I just beat DS3 for the first time and Sekiro as well just a few days ago. I'm so hyped for Elden Ring! My first playthrough of DS3 ended with me having a strength build with a level of 240....I'm on NG+ running around like a SSJ lol.
@@anchoviesonnachos7074 the 3 angels on top of the Grand archives with the Mimic head, shield of want, serpent ring +3 and the maclcont chalice I believe its called. I did that run over and over using the rapport skill making the angels fight each other. 37k per kill time 3 is over 90k. Put on some spotify podcast and music and just zoned out for a while. I wouldn't reccomend it because it's not needed. However I enjoy overpowering characters.
Man, wish he played the first game so he would know the significance of fighting the soul of cinder, especially his second phase. When Gwins theme played i lost my shit
Perfect timing, because I'm going to play Dark Souls 3 very soon. I finished Bloodborne last month, it was my very first FromSoftware game and I loved it.
Props to you for beating Bloodborne first. Both Dark Souls 3 and Bloodborne are designed for people who already played DS1 or Demons Souls, so they're not easy to start with
@@gatchu2246 Yea so, I started Dark Souls 3 and I can't really get into it but I'll try again soon. Bloodborne on the other hand, I kinda struggled with it in the beginning aswell but it grew on me, I enjoyed the aggressive fast paced gameplay more than the slower gameplay of DS3 (so far).
@@kostasspirou1010 The gameplay in DS3 is kinda however fast you want it to be. Your weapon options are limited at the start, but if you invest in something like dexterity, there are plenty of fast weapon options in the same vein as Bloodborne. Probably the biggest thing you should keep an eye on when switching from Bloodborne is your equipment weight. If you don't want your character to be slow and clunky, try to keep your equipment weight down or wear lighter armor, and your roll should be a similar speed to the Bloodborne side-step.
@@gatchu2246 Yea that's the plan, going for a fast character with light armor. High Wall of Lothric is a pain in the ass though, and I'm not used to the 3 estus flask system, it's like I have to to fight against waves of enemies with only 3 healing potions.
@@kostasspirou1010 It's especially brutal at the start, but you can find items called Estus shards that increase your maximum amount of flasks. I also hated the 3 flasks at the start, but there's one you can find somewhere in the High Wall of Lothric, another in the area immediately after, and one that's pretty well-hidden back in Firelink Shrine. You eventually can get up to 15 maximum, but between 5-10 it feels fine.
BRO!!! You cant silence the boss music on this one. PLIN PLIN PLON is a must of any true souls fan. EDIT: BTW afro, until you duel Gael for the right to be the bearer of the Dark Soul you havent beaten Dark Souls 3
Holy shit, I remember starting the game in 2017 and watching some of your videos when searching for tips. I didn't finish the game at the time so i dropped it. Fast forward to this year, I actually decided to beat it once and for all, and while going through the game I decided to look up that guy who fucking choked on his estus flasks while fighting Pontiff Sulyvahn. Can't believe he came back to the game at almost the same time as me, right after I decided to rewatch some of his old videos.
the sellsword blades are giga strong tho, but u shouldnt use R1s for that, only L1s cuz it uses both swords so double the damage. for the complete combo however, its L1 + L2 + R2.
Do you play a lot of games or just play less? Cuz that's kinda low on gamer standards for most hours on a game or maybe we just haven't touched enough grass
