Bro I was on the edge of my seat the whole time lol. I can't believe I was so invested in this. I picked my boy Lapp to take it all but I'm proud of Havel. He a real one.

[Spoilers ahead] Hodrick vs. Ledo: From all the times I have fought Ledo, I've usually seen him two-hand his hammer. I knew Hodrick was at a loss. Zoey vs. Havel: Zoey actually did really well in the first round. I knew Havel would turtle the whole time and he could tank much of the damage, so I knew he was gonna win. Honestly, I would expect any NPC that turtles around to win. Shira vs. Dunnel: I underestimated Dunnel bigtime in this fight. Didn't expect him to take the first round. let alone come close. I was surprised. That was a nailbiting final round. If Dunnel used more chaos fireballs, he would've won. It seemed to have worked extremely well on Shira. Hawkwood vs. Lapp: I had a hard time predicting who would win this. Lapp's WA is extremely dangerous and Lapp cowers behind his shield, but Hawkwood is extremely aggressive and has 7 flasks. If Hawkwood healed himself, he would have won. I was quite frustrated with his AI on that note. Ledo vs. Havel: I had a great feeling Havel would come out on top. But it didn't particularly feel too close. Havel was a R1 spamming monster, much more than Ledo was. Shira vs. Lapp: I predicted incorrectly this fight too. I love Shira, but I thought Lapp's turtling would overpower her. I was wrong, and I am happy with the outcome of this fight. Havel vs. Shira: That was really close. I predicted correctly, but I though it would be 2-0 and not even close, even with Shira's strong damage output and estus. A nail-biter of a fight. One of my favorites. Also love Shira taunting Havel. Loser bracket maybe to see who the worst NPC is? I'd guess Geirat and Sirris in finals.

Despite the results, Hawkwood is still a winner in my book. Dude went full aggro against a turtler, and refused to heal in one of the rounds. Wish he went against Shira.

Shira had my boy dead to rights and decided she really wanted to get smacked upside her head.

This is ending was absolutely perfect, the matchups were great. Dunnel and Shira was a pretty smart fight with good dodging and outspacing, probably my favorite fight. And the final was so close I was on the edge of my seat. Shira taunting Havel for wiffing added a great touch of rivalry almost as if they were real players

I knew that havel would come out on top but that last fight was REALLY close. Best matchup I've ever seen throughout this series. I knew Shira was strong but I thought she'd lose to Lapp. Didn't expect Shira vs Dunnel to be that close tho.

I was really rooting againt Lapp since he is clearly overpowered and not even supposed to be fought. I beat the game 5 times and it never occured to me that i can fight him and he is worthwhile. But last 2 pairs were really close, I would accept any of those as a champion. But now we need Hawkwood vs Havel

Havel won without ever using estus against a lot of people who could and did abuse from estus... He is not only stronger than the other NPCs, he is way stronger, even against the second in place.

I noticed that Lapp rarely gets his guard broken when he's guarding, even when tanking charged heavy attacks, but Havel gets his guard broken super often despite his grestshield being better.

Shira tuant and estus chug is like your average online invasion matchup

While I picked Havel to win when this was announced, I will say that the seeding, starting in the last video, probably played a decent role in the outcome. Hawkwood, who was my dark horse coming into this one, may have had a good chance vs Shiria or Havel, had he not been matched up agains (other) spin to win boi. I feel like Lapp was probably the worst possible matchup for Hawkwood. Having said all that, I would be super interested in another one of these next year or whenever really, with different seeding and a tweaked format. Also, could probably do without a majority of the matches from the first few videos next time, as we all know who was going to win those lol. Awesome videos and thank you for doing this! Way more entertaining than the NCAA tourney lol.

That was a fun series of videos. If anyone stood a chance against the Havel monster, it was certainly Shira. The dark damage from mad king's crucifix and the lightning miracle gave her an extra edge compared to other npcs who fought Havel.

Man that was a hype top 8 and some fights came down to the wire! Maybe try a doubles 2vs2 NPC tournament as a future idea? It would be sick to see various team combos and how the NPCs synergies with each other.

Even with our years of knowledge regarding who the biggest badasses are, this final round was full of nail-biters that put almost everything down to the wire. Magnificent battles took place here, and the finale was spectacular. Thanks Pantagana! Rest well. I'd love to see something similar done with Dark Souls 1 and 2, even if Tarkus, Leeroy, Thomas, and Maldron might be huge favorites. In normal NG, who knows who could win?

Not very surprising tbh, Havel Knight is basically scaled to be a miniboss, not an invading NPC.

The tanky types tended to last to the end, and win too. I guess there's a reason that rich knights liked their full plate armor in the high middle ages.

Before this tournament I had no idea who Shira was, just this NPC with an annoying weapon that makes funny sounds. I've never encountered her in-game, presumably she's in the ringed city DLC which I haven't finished. But then Lapp lost to her, and I started paying attention. And then she actually managed to kill the Havel monster once and almost won the whole tourny... gg

Wow... great series. As bonus content it’d be great to see Lapp vs Havel; it feels like the reason Lapp lost was because Shira was almost designed to avoid his combos. It doesn’t feel like Havel would have been as good at it, maybe.

Havel absolute gigachad. Whole tournament no estus, no rolling, edgewalk only, always lets the enemy chug in peace and still wins the tournament.

Doesn't surprise me at all that Ledo and Havel are in the finals. Most, if not all NPCs, seem to have either low or no flat damage reduction against Strike type damage. Great fights.

After avenging Hawkwood I was routing for Shira all the way.. She could've won. Zoey did good in 1st round too @Pantagana The NPC tournament is one of the best one in youtube. Next time can we have a tournament where the weaker NPC's like Greirat get a little buff. Or enemy units join in or have their own tournament
