I've never played Dark Souls, but this trailer makes me regret that. I hold this as the single best game trailer ever made, in my opinion. It's just very well done.

I think it is by far the best choice of music for a trailer ever. Not necessarily the best music in itself, but one that merges perfectly with the atmosphere of the game (and trailer), the mix of epicness and melancholia, the rythm it gives to the shots. It may also be my favourite trailer ever

How to make a dark souls trailer 101: show the "protagonist" armor and a character in it, show some badass creatures/bosses, have them just absolutely abuse that protagonist have no pity! Play cool song not many people heard of.

Fun note: The song is "In the Wood Somewhere," in which a man awakes from a feverish sleep and is lured into the woods by a scream that sounds like his deceased beloved. He finds instead a helplessly wounded fox. He mercy kills it with a stone. He feels eyes upon him, perhaps those of the predator that wounded the fox. He flees. The last stanza of the song is a reflection: the man confesses that he abandoned his wish to reunite with his beloved in the afterlife because he discovered he feared death more.

I've never played dark souls but this trailer just sold a copy. My body is ready.

Great trailer. Great atmosphere in DS universe in general. The player can feel it. Unfortunately, I played only in DS II but it was awesome, especially all DLC. From Software MUST create the remake of the Dark Souls I with some new features and modern grafic engine for PC and PS4 xbox. Like Capcom did with RE2 It will be success.
