This was what I used for almost all of my first playthrough haha! I killed the black knight in undead parish and got the drop without knowing how op it was. I looked at the stats so i grinded levels by using the dragon bridge strat of making it breathe fire, getting the 555 souls, and going back to the bonfire until i was 32 strength and 18 dex. Then I used it for the rest of the game, even beating Gwyn with it. Super fun weapon haha
I like it :) I like the less intense editing relative to others, and the commentary. I don't know anything about you really, but I get himbo energy, which I appreciate. I'm surprised you forgot or didn't know about the crystal lizard hiding in a barrel in the tower going up to the taurus demon's bridge. or, while we're at it, the crystal lizard in darkroot basin in the entrance from the parish side, or the ones in the great hollow, though I understand not going for those ones if they're not a place you're already going. I'll be coming back to this series at some point, so I'll see ya later :)
i remember on my first playthrough getting the standard black knight sword, not having the stats for it at the time, and "saving it for later" by accidentally forgetting it in my box for the whole game. i ended up using a raw caestus for the rest of my run, which certainly taught me to dodge lmao
I also used this my first playthrough. I also had no idea it was a very lucky drop. I leveled up for it once I first reached Anor London by grinding those giant knights at the entrance. I didn't know why people said Ornstein and Smough was so hard because I beat them in 4 attempts XD. That weapon carried me fr.
34:54 You can’t kill both O&S without triggering phase 2. Even if you kill them both with the same attack, you’ll get Super Ornstein because Smough’s death animation is shorter.
Edit: I was an ass and made a big assumption before I commented. Here is said message: Dont want to be negative, and this run was probably not for the people watching, and rather more for you, but people would much rather watch hard to use, low damage weapon challenge runs as opposed to, I guess in this case, any of the black knight weapons. There is definitely still a place for this video, like I said this isnt to criticize anything about the video itself, rather to just kind of let you understand the mindset of the viewers of this kind of content. Its just that there is so much content similar to yours that you will probably never stand out in a sea of similar creators. But for example I stream the most boring sl1 runs ever, no commentary most the time, so I do the same shit. It wasnt boring to watch, but there also wasnt anything keeping me here.
